1: BREATHE on me, Breath of God,

Fill me with life anew,

That I may love what Thou dost love,

And do what Thou wouldst do.

2: Breathe on me, Breath of God,

Until my heart is pure,

Until with Thee I will one will,

To do and to endure.

3: Breathe on me, Breath of God,

Till I am wholly Thine,

Till all this earthly part of me

Glows with Thy fire divine.

4: Breathe on me, Breath of God,

So shall I never die,

But live with Thee the perfect life

Of Thine eternity.

(A quiet, deeply personal invocation of the Holy Spirit’s indwelling presence — the very Breath that produces every fruit of Galatians 5. Yoruba MHB renders this with striking tenderness!)

🦅  Author: Edwin Hatch (1835–1889), an English clergyman and academic.

🦅  Theme: Renewal, purity of heart, and alignment of human will with the divine through the Holy Spirit.

🦅  Common Tunes: Often set to tunes like Trentham or Carlisle.

🙏✝️❤️‍🔥 *SEVEN PROPHETIC PRAYERS*

(Preparatory — Before the Exhortation)

❤️‍🔥 *Prayer 1 — _Abiding in the Vine_*

Title: Connected to the Source of All Fruitfulness.

_“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit.”_ — John 15:5 (NKJV).

*_Father of every living branch, graft every soul in this congregation so deeply into Christ the True Vine that fruitfulness becomes not a striving but a natural overflow of abiding! Let no branch here remain disconnected from the Source, in Jesus’ Name. Amen!_* ❤️‍🔥

❤️‍🔥 *Prayer 2 — _Love, the First Fruit_*

Title: The Fruit That Governs All Others.

_“But the fruit of the Spirit is love…”_ — Galatians 5:22 (NKJV).

*_God Who is Love, saturate every heart in this assembly with a supernatural, self-giving love that flows from the Spirit and not from human effort! Let every relationship touched by this congregation this week bear the unmistakable mark of divine love, in Jesus’ Name. Amen!_* ❤️‍🔥

❤️‍🔥 *Prayer 5 — _Goodness and Faithfulness Established_*

Title: Character That Does Not Waver Under Pressure.

_“…goodness, faithfulness…”_ — Galatians 5:22 (NKJV).

*_Faithful God, establish in every believer here a goodness that acts even when unseen, and a faithfulness that remains steady when the crowd disperses! Let this congregation be marked by consistency of character, in Jesus’ Name. Amen!_* ❤️‍🔥

❤️‍🔥 *Prayer 6 — _Gentleness and Self-Control Mastered_*

Title: The Fruit That Restrains the Flesh.

_“…gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.”_ — Galatians 5:23 (NKJV).

*_Lord of the disciplined life, empower every soul in this congregation to master the flesh through the Spirit’s self-control! Let no habit, addiction, or fleshly impulse rule any believer here any longer, in Jesus’ Name. Amen!_* ❤️‍🔥

In the vineyards of Bordeaux, France, a curious agricultural principle governs the finest wine-producing vines: the deeper and more painfully the roots are forced to dig — through drought, through rocky subsoil, through deliberate deprivation of surface water — the more concentrated and exceptional the fruit becomes. Vintners call this *_“hydric stress.”_* A vine given everything it wants produces bland, watery grapes. A vine that has learned to abide, to dig deep, and to draw from a hidden source produces fruit of extraordinary character. The fruit was never the vine’s achievement — it was the undeniable evidence of where the roots had gone.

Beloved, Paul writes to the Galatian church, a congregation being seduced back into legalism — the exhausting attempt to produce righteousness through willpower, rule-keeping, and religious striving. Into this striving, Paul introduces the more excellent way: *_“Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh”_* (Galatians 5:16).

🍇👑❤️‍🔥

*The Contrast: Works of the Flesh Versus Fruit of the Spirit*

Paul deliberately chooses his vocabulary with theological precision. He does not call sinful behaviour the *_“fruit”_* of the flesh — he calls it the *_“works”_* of the flesh (v.19), because sin requires effort, striving, and manufacture. But he calls righteous character the *_“fruit”_* of the Spirit (v.22) — singular, unified, organic — because authentic Christlikeness is never manufactured. It grows. It is the natural, inevitable byproduct of a life rooted in the Spirit.

🍇👑❤️‍🔥

*The Singular Fruit: One Cluster, Nine Flavours*

Notice, Beloved, that Paul does not say “fruits” — plural, as if love were separate from joy, and joy separate from peace. He says “fruit” — singular. Love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control — these are not nine different fruits on nine different trees. They are nine facets of a single fruit, the way a diamond has many faces but remains one stone. Where the Spirit truly abides, all nine will eventually manifest, though perhaps in different seasons of growth.

*The Secret: Abiding, Not Achieving*

Jesus makes the mechanism unmistakably clear in John 15: *_“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing”_* (v.5). Notice — the branch does not strain, grunt, or labour to produce grapes. It simply remains attached. All the striving belongs to the vine, drawing nutrients from the root; the branch’s only responsibility is abiding. The fruit is not your achievement, Beloved — it is the evidence of your attachment.

Beloved, stop trying to manufacture love, patience, and self-control through gritted-teeth effort. Abide. Draw near. Remain connected to the Vine — and watch the fruit appear, not because you forced it, but because it could not help itself.

*_“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.”_* — Galatians 5:22-23 (NKJV). ✝️❤️‍🔥🦅

🙏✝️❤️‍🔥 *SEVEN INTERCESSORY PRAYERS*

(Post-Exhortation — Prophetic Charismatic Warfare)

❤️‍🔥 *Prayer 8 — _Against the Works of the Flesh._*

Title: Every Fleshly Work Crucified by Fire.

_“Now the works of the flesh are evident… I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.”_ — Galatians 5:19-21 (NKJV).

*_My Father, My God — we take up the cross of Calvary against every work of the flesh operating in this congregation — every immorality, strife, envy, and outburst of wrath! We crucify the flesh with its passions and desires RIGHT NOW, consumed by Holy Ghost fire, in Jesus’ Name. Amen!_* ❤️‍🔥

❤️‍🔥 *Prayer 9 — _Against Unfruitful Branches._*

Title: Every Barren Life Reconnected and Restored.

_“Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away.”_ — John 15:2 (NKJV).

*_Master Vinedresser, we intercede for every soul in this congregation who feels barren, dry, and unfruitful! We command every root of disconnection from Christ to be severed, and every branch to be grafted back into the True Vine RIGHT NOW, in Jesus’ Name. Amen!_* ❤️‍🔥

❤️‍🔥 *Prayer 10 — _For Supernatural Patience._*

Title: Longsuffering Released in the Furnace.

_“…longsuffering…”_ — Galatians 5:22 (NKJV).

*_Patient Father, we release supernatural longsuffering upon every soul in this congregation currently in a season of provocation! Let no one retaliate in the flesh, but let the fruit of patience rule every response, in Jesus’ Name. Amen!_* ❤️‍🔥

❤️‍🔥 *Prayer 11 — _Against Addiction and Lack of Self-Control._*

Title: Every Stronghold of Compulsive Sin Broken.

_“…self-control. Against such there is no law.”_ — Galatians 5:23 (NKJV).

*_Mighty Deliverer, we break every chain of addiction, compulsive habit, and fleshly bondage over the lives of this congregation! We command every stronghold that has mocked human willpower to bow now to the superior power of the Holy Spirit, in Jesus’ Name. Amen!_* ❤️‍🔥

❤️‍🔥 *Prayer 12 — _For Deeper Roots._*

Title: Hydric Stress Turned to Hidden Strength.

_“He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season.”_ — Psalm 1:3 (NKJV).

*_God of the deep root, we declare that every season of drought, difficulty, and deprivation in this congregation is producing deeper roots, not death! Let every soul discover that hardship has driven them to a hidden source of supernatural strength, in Jesus’ Name. Amen!_* ❤️‍🔥

❤️‍🔥 *Prayer 13 — _For Christ’s Good News Mission: A Fruitful Vine._*

Title: This Ministry Abiding and Bearing Much Fruit.

_“By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit.”_ — John 15:8 (NKJV).

*_Lord Jesus, we decree that Christ’s Good News Mission remains a branch deeply abiding in You, the True Vine! Let every worker, minister, and member bear fruit that glorifies the Father, proving to the world that we are truly Your disciples, in Jesus’ Name. Amen!_* ❤️‍🔥

❤️‍🔥 *Prayer 14 — _The Warfare Benediction._*

Title: Sent Out Abiding and Fruit-Bearing.

_“If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.”_ — John 15:7 (NKJV).

*_My Father, My God — seal every soul departing this sanctuary today in unbroken abiding fellowship with the Vine! Let them carry into their week not the exhausting labour of the flesh, but the effortless, Spirit-produced fruit of love, joy, peace, and every Christlike grace, in Jesus’ Name. Amen!_* ❤️‍🔥

🎵 *CLOSING HYMN MHB. 400 — _“Take My Life, and Let It Be”_*

🔍   https://share.google/agjEcnj3NH92GN1D9

1: TAKE my life, and let it be

Consecrated, Lord, to Thee;

Take my moments and my days,

Let them flow in ceaseless praise.

2: Take my hands, and let them move

At the impulse of Thy love;

Take my feet, and let them be

Swift and beautiful for Thee.

3: Take my voice, and let me sing

Always, only, for my King;

Take my lips, and let them be

Filled with messages from Thee.

4: Take my love; my Lord, I pour

At Thy feet its treasure store;

Take myself, and I will be

Ever, only, all for Thee.

(Frances Ridley Havergal, 1874 — A hymn of total consecration and yieldedness — the very posture required for fruit-bearing abiding in the Vine. A fitting seal upon a message calling every believer to surrender rather than strive.)
