In 1903, Orville and Wilbur Wright stood on the windswept dunes of Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, with a machine every credentialled scientist had declared impossible. Twelve seconds. One hundred and twenty feet. That first powered flight defied every mountain of scepticism, ridicule, and rational impossibility β not because the Wright brothers possessed extraordinary resources, but because they possessed extraordinary, focused, unwavering faith in a vision. Mountains move *_when faith has a fixed and worthy object._*
Beloved, nine disciples stood helpless before a demonised boy, utterly defeated. Jesus descended the Mount of Transfiguration, rebuked the demon, and the child was instantly cured. Then came the devastating question: *_“Why could we not cast it out?”_* (Matthew 17:19, NKJV). Jesus’ answer remains the most searching diagnosis of powerless Christianity ever delivered.

*The Problem: Little Faith*
Jesus identified one cause β *_“because of your unbelief”_* (Matthew 17:20, NKJV). Not insufficient prayer. Not inadequate theology. Unbelief. The disciples had the right doctrine, the right commission, the right Name β but faith had become a concept rather than a living, active trust. Hebrews is equally direct: *_“without faith it is impossible to please Him”_* (Hebrews 11:6, NKJV). Wherever faith shrinks, mountains grow.

*The Prescription: Mustard Seed Faith*
Jesus does not demand massive faith β He demands *_directed faith._* A mustard seed is the smallest of seeds, yet carries within it the full genetic code of a towering tree. Jesus is not measuring quantity β He is measuring quality and object. Faith the size of a mustard seed, aimed at God, moves mountains that entire armies cannot shift. *The issue is never how much faith you have. The issue is always in Whom your faith rests. The object of your worship.*

*The Promise: Nothing Impossible*
Three words crown this passage β *_“nothing will be impossible”_* (Matthew 17:20, NKJV). Not some things. Not most things. Nothing. This is not reckless presumption β it is covenant confidence in a God Who spoke galaxies into existence and raised His Son from the dead. *_What mountain stands before you today? Name it. Now speak to it β not in your own authority, but in the authority of the Name above every name._*
Beloved, your mountain has already heard its eviction notice β signed in the blood, shed at Calvary, sealed by an empty tomb. We considered this ππ¦ THEME:
