Imagine a vast, ancient tapestry, hidden beneath dust and darkness. As a skilled artisan begins gently brushing away the grime, intricate patterns and divine images gradually emerge, revealing a masterpiece crafted by the Master’s hand. Similarly, in our current chaotic world, God’s divine purpose has been veiled by worldly distractions, but through divine revelation, His eternal purpose in Christ is unfolding before us. This revelation invites us to see beyond the superficial and understand the divine tapestry woven into history, the church, and our lives.
*Ephesians 3:3-12* (NKJV) speaks of the divine mystery once hidden but now revealed through the Spirit, emphasising that God’s eternal purpose was designed before the foundation of the world — to unite all things in Christ (verses 8-11). Paul highlights that this revelation was not only for Israel but for the Gentiles, making the church the custodian of God’s manifold wisdom. This divine purpose remains relevant today, calling believers to embrace their role in God’s grand design.
In today’s world, many are caught in despair, confusion, and moral decay, unaware of the divine purpose that transcends current events. Society craves meaning, hope, and direction – yet refuses to allow the understanding of God, as many remain blind to God’s eternal plan (Romans 11:33).
The enemy seeks to obscure God’s purpose through misinformation, division, and despair. Many believers and leaders are distracted by worldly pursuits, neglecting the divine blueprint that unites all in Christ (2 Corinthians 4:4).
The revelation of God’s purpose in Christ restores hope, unites nations, and realigns believers with divine destiny. As believers embrace this revelation, they actively participate in God’s eternal plan, fulfilling their divine roles (Ephesians 3:10).
Let us apply the message to a few of our listening congregation:
- An individual at a crossroads of hopelessness.
*_“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a future and hope.”_* (Jeremiah 29:11). Do not let your hearts be troubled. Calm your restless mind and follow Christ. You will never be disappointed.
- An atheistic/opinionated personality.
*_“The fool has said in his heart, ‘There is no God.'”_* (Psalm 14:1) The Mystery of Godliness has compelled the impatient and curious people to leave godliness in search of fleeting ideologies, straying away from the peace of their souls. God never sought the death of an unbeliever; He needs the souls of all humanity in heaven, but having been deceived, what can the righteous do?
III. Captains of Industry/Firms.
*_“Unless the Lord builds the house, they labour in vain who build it.”_* (Psalm 127:1).
God alone gives wealth with peace and stability. Let us care more for humanity by providing our customers with peace of mind through our products: This will lead more of the discerning to patronise our brand. We must not set our hearts to seek unholy gains. This deception from hell had raised so many industrialists and businesspeople to utopian heights, only to shock the majority with the agonising free-fall before destruction! What benefit is it for a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul, which is more worthy than whatever a man can acquire?
- Leaders in Government.
*_”When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice.”_* (Proverbs 29:2).
God implores our political leaders and bureaucrats to eschew the lure of corruption, hatred for due process, and the concept that might is right and learn from the scriptures where those who lead with the fear of God are blessed, protected and honoured. During their tenures, the people enjoy peace, tranquillity, and celebrate. The mystery of God holds that a person only reaps whatever they sow. When you sow tares, their harvest will be sorrowful indeed! Humans, let us make the best use of our positions to make life meaningful for others. We shall reap the harvest of peace.

Will we choose paths honouring the divine image in humanity, creation, and community by giving our lives to Christ Jesus?
Or, shall we persist in rebellious patterns that lead to destruction, division, and despair? God forbid! *_Our belief in God will never hinder scholarship or joy!_*
The consequences of our choice will echo through generations. Yet hope remains—the same God who warned Joshua of potential exile also promised restoration. The same Christ who pronounced judgment on unrepentant cities also wept over Jerusalem’s coming destruction. *_But we must believe in Hope to partake in God’s Plan. Jesus is Humankind’s only hope! Receive Him and Live!_*
