🦅 Our Text is taken from Philippians 1:21, which say:

🌹 We had our Bible Passage from Romans 8: 35 – 39.

🦅 *_Sanctification means: to be called out, set aside, chosen, separated, cleansed or prepared well, for a holy use. Hence, we can not separate Sanctification from Holiness: The final destination in the Christian race._* 💕

🦅 *_Holiness is the sanctified, consecrated, and sacred nature of God. It is God’s quality of spiritual perfection, purity and sanctity._* 💕

 

🦅 *_In Christianity, HOLINESS is the divinely required standard for believers to see God, work with Him and to do God’s will._* 💕

These are Believers’ Need, to be in Holiness:

🌹 1. *_Purity in Heart_* (Matthew 5: 8).

– Each believer needs the knowledge and application of HOLINESS to be able to ‘see’ God in life’s situations. A pure heart trusts in God – no matter how impossible the circumstance may seem – for, and in, all things.

🌹 2. *_God’s instruction_* (Lev. 11: 45, 2Cor.7: 1).

– Obedience is the first step to blessing. If God instructs us to BE HOLY, it becomes a divine instruction which CHRISTIANS have a choice to obey. That means it is very possible to strive to be HOLY and succeed!

🌹 3. *_Divine service in gratitude to God_* (Luke 1: 70-75).

– God swore on oath to remember his Holy Covenant with CHRISTIANS’ PATRIARCH – ABRAHAM. The Covenant includes delivering us from our enemies (Devil and his cohorts). He would grant us the grace to serve Him fearlessly in holiness and righteousness, all the days of our lives.

🌹 4. *_Our Eternity_* (2Peter 3: 11-12)

– Holiness determines where MAN spends his eternity. This present World shall be rolled away. If rapture (catching up of the Saints) comes, and meets a Man without HOLINESS – even after receiving the saving faith – then, he is damned! (Heb.12: 14).

🌹 5. *_ To be like Jesus_* (1John 3: 2)

– A believer should always ask himself in all situations, before reacting: *_‘What will Jesus DO, THINK or SAY, were He to be faced with this situation of mine?’_*

🦅 Only Holiness in Man can ensure that he gives credence to the above questions.

 

A natural man wants to be free to DO HIS OWN WILL as dictated by his flesh.

 

🦅 *_Holiness keeps THE SANCTIFIED INSTRUMENT FOR GOD’S USE in constant touch with the LORD, preparing him/her for eternity in Heaven!_*

 

Speaking about being Sold Out to God, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye once told a story of an evangelist who travelled to a village with the sole aim of winning souls into the Kingdom of God. His mission was very successful and many of the villagers gave their lives to Christ.

 

After spending some months with them, he decided to go to the next village to win souls there too.

 

The villagers told him that there were lions in the boundary forest between both villages, and if anyone ever tried to cross from one to the other, the lions would eat him up. The evangelist, however, insisted on going to the next village to preach.

 

When it seemed as if he would not back down, one of the villagers decided that he would go ahead of him so that the lions could eat him and then be too filled up to eat the evangelist as he crossed over to the other village to preach.

 

The villager was divinely sought out for God’s use. He was ready to be a sacrificial instrument for God’s will to be fulfilled. He was willing to lay down his life for the gospel to be preached to sinners.

 

Are you a sanctified instrument for Christ’s use? 💕

 

🦅 John 12:25 says

 

*_”He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal”._*

 

Are we sold out to fearlessly save our friends (loyalty), or we love God without being committed to the benefit or safety of others? 💕

 

🦅 There was a time when two great Christian brothers – who have attained many successes as partners in soul-winning – had to walk through a forest that had strong untamed bears.

 

On sighting a big bear, the survival instinct spurred one of the Christians to run to a tree, climbed and hide on it’s very top. Seeing that he now had no chance of escape, the other Christian that was left behind fell like a log of wood, pretending to have died in shock. He knew that Bears, like Lions, do not eat preys that died before their attack. The bear inspected his prey that had ceased to breathe. It then whispered something into the ears of the one who lay on the floor, and he moved away!

 

After 30 minutes, the other man came down from the tree, congratulating his friend for being spared from early death. Then, he asked:

 

*_”The Big Bear seemed to be saying something to you while you lay there. Was it understandable?_*

 

The other man smiled as he replied,

*_”The bear was not fooled that I was dead: He whispered a warning to me!”_*

 

*_”About what could that be?”_*

 

*_”The bear had warned me to only trust and be a practical instrument in the hands of a friend that will not leave me in danger at my perilous moments in life!”_* 💕

 

🦅 Today, I appeal that we must trust the LORD who is loyal to us, as our very present help in times of trouble. We are expected to be a servant of Christ, with whom there is no shadow of betrayal or loss…

 

🦅 *_Selfishly loving our lives as mortals make us to lose our souls. Giving our lives to Christ makes us to gain our soul till eternity!_*

 

💕 We are expected to be sold out to God and not to shy away from the challenge of preaching the gospel in a perilous situations.

 

💕 If a person loves his or her life so much that they cannot risk it for the gospel of Christ, such a person will lose that same life. God is not interested in you if you are not totally sold out to Him.

 

🦅 *_In Revelation 3:15-16, He said you should either be hot or cold. If you are lukewarm, He will spew you out of His mouth. You are either God’s sanctified instrument for His use, or you are not for Him at all. Choose wisely today._*

 

🦅 *REFLECTION*

Are you really sold out to God: being a vessel of honour sanctified as God’s instrument for this generation?!

 

Let us say these prayers before we conclude the hearing on the mind of God, today:

🦅 16. *_Any Strange gift given to me by the enemy, backfire, in the Name of Jesus._*
