🦅   *EXHORTATION.* 💕

Ancient mythologies say November is packed with spiritual meaning and energy. This month concerns action, continuity and spirituality: Yes. Spiritual Awakening, Law and Revelation, Enlightenment, Divine Influence and True Love.

*What does November signify biblically?*

November is traditionally a time in which the Catholic community remembers those who have died (All Saints’). It is related to the fact that the final days in November mark the end of the Liturgical Year, with a new year starting the First Sunday of Advent – the four weeks of preparation before Christmas.

 

💕 Our *BIBLE PASSAGE:*

🦅 *Deuteronomy 1: 1-8.*

Biblically, November is the month of the river. In a previous divine command for the Israelites to enter Canaan, *_ “Deuteronomy 1:1-8_* say:

[1] These are the words that Moses spoke to all of Israel on this side of Jordan in the wilderness, in the plain opposite Suph, between Paran, Tophel, Laban, Hazeroth, and Dizahab.

[2] It is eleven days’ journey from Horeb by way of Mount Seir to Kadesh Barnea.

[3] *_Now it came to pass in the fortieth year, in the eleventh month, on the first day of the month, that Moses spoke to the children of Israel according to all that the Lord had given him as commandments to them,_*

[4] *_after he had killed Sihon – king of the Amorites, who dwelt in Heshbon, and Og – king of Bashan, who dwelt at Ashtaroth in Edrei._*

[5] *_On this side of the Jordan in the land of Moab, Moses began to explain this law, saying,_*

[6] *_ “The Lord our God spoke to us in Horeb, saying: ‘You have dwelt long enough at this mountain._*

[7] *_Turn and take your journey, and go to the mountains of the Amorites, to all the neighbouring places in the plain, in the mountains and the lowland, in the South and on the seacoast, to the land of the Canaanites and Lebanon, as far as the great river, the River Euphrates._*

*_Starting from this November, you will see a greater flow of the presence of God in your life. As you allow yourself to be caught up in His river –the river of the Holy Spirit– you will receive more, see more, and experience more of wealth and all Godliness has to offer, in Jesus’ Name._*

Beloved brethren, as we enter this sacred month of November —a month often associated with reflection, divine remembrance, spiritual renewal, true love, and spiritual awakening— let us take a moment to consider the words of Moses in the wilderness. He addressed the Israelites to recount their history, reminding them of God’s promises and their journey ahead. As we delve into our text, Deuteronomy 1:6-8, may our hearts be stirred to embrace new beginnings and be spiritually renewed in genuine love and revelation while strengthening our faith in God’s abundant grace.

*I. For a Person Who Has Given Up the Hope of Living:*

 

*_“I will never leave you nor forsake you.”_* (Hebrews 13:5)

 

November reminds us of God’s faithfulness for anyone here who feels weary or has lost hope: We are alive and see how late brethren – who loved the good life – are being remembered for going too soon! Just as the Israelites were reminded of God’s promises, allow His words to resonate in your heart. You are not alone. Encourage yourself in the LORD and rekindle your respect for holy convocations today —there is strength in the community, and God intends for you to flourish again. God will send assistance to you when you least expect it.

*II. Success in Business and Firms:*

 

*_“Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.”_* (Proverbs 16:3)

 

Do we remember those labourers in business and industry during our intercessions as each month progresses? This is a time to recommit our enterprises – and the vocations of other brethren – to God. Please do not rely on your ability alone. Success in our endeavours will come through our understanding and divine guidance. Let us seek God’s favour and ensure that our work reflects His glory.

*III. Human Relationships:*

 

*_“Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honour.”_* (Romans 12:10)

 

In the spirit of remembrance, let us rekindle the love we share within our communities. Remember, genuine love grows when we sow seeds of kindness to remember. This new month, let us reach out to someone in need—a call to an estranged friend or a visit to someone lonely. Our efforts will flourish into a rich harvest of unforgettable and loving relationships.

*IV. Leaders of Nations and Governments:*

 

*_“Let every person be subject to the governing authorities.”_* (Romans 13:1)

 

In recognising the month of remembrance, we also acknowledge the heavy responsibilities placed upon our leaders. Let us pray for wisdom and discernment for those in power. May our leaders remember their call to serve the common good and uphold justice and peace. This month, let us encourage transparency and integrity in governance, emulating the leadership of Christ.

*V. The Anti-theist:*

 

*_“For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son.”_* (John 3:16)

 

As we reflect on God’s love in this month of remembrance, we extend it even to those who may reject it. It’s an opportunity to share the truth of the Gospel —let us remember that every heart, even the hardest, can transform through God’s grace.

May our lives be a testament that love conquers all disbelief, in Jesus’ Name.

*VI. Success in Personal Endeavours:*

 

*_“I can do everything through him who strengthens me.”_* (Philippians 4:13)

 

As we embrace new goals this month, remember that each step we take toward our dreams is anchored in faith. Reflect on what you wish to achieve this month —whether in education, hobbies, or health. Entrust your ambitions to God; He is our source of strength and encouragement, enabling us to surpass our limits.

*VII. Personal Reconciliation with God:*

 

*_“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins.”_* (1 John 1:9)

 

This month, let us seize the opportunity for reconciliation with God.

Remember that His love is undistinguished, reaching out to everyone. Whether you’re returning to Him for the first time or seeking to restore a relationship that has waned, God stands ready to welcome you back. Allow His grace to wash over you and renew your spirit.

Dearly beloved,

As we journey through this Month of Remembrance, let’s proclaim our intentions and invite the Holy Spirit to flow abundantly in our lives. We are called to reflect on what has been and embrace what is to come. May our actions be rooted in love, our leaders guided by wisdom, our businesses embraced by success, our hearts open to the unchanged, and our spirits reconciled with God, in Jesus’ Name.

 

Remember that our God is the God of new beginnings, success and spiritual reawakening. Let us not linger on the spot anymore. Step boldly into the promise that lies ahead this November, for the Lord has set the land before us to subdue and possess.

 

And as we sing together, *Father, whose everlasting love*, may we carry the gospel truth within us, sharing love throughout this month and beyond.
