Lenten Season – Day 19 – Very Rev. Prof. Konyinsola Àjàyí, SAN.
*March 23: Day 19 – HELP AND SUPPORT WITH FINANCES AND MORE*
O Lord God, the All-Seeing, All-Knowing, One from Whom nothing is hidden, I come before You, humbled and burdened, yet trusting in Your unfailing mercy.
You, O Lord, know my condition and plight in this country: my obligations, duties, and debts. Father, You see my plight, know where I am hurting, and understand the heaviness of my burdens. Nothing escapes Your sight, for You are the God who knows the secret pains of the soul and the unspoken struggles of the heart – so, Lord God, take me out of my challenges and help me with my finances.
You see the weight I carry—financial burdens pressing upon me, responsibilities to my family, commitments to my Church, and expectations from those around me.
Lord, You know that I strive, labour, and seek to fulfil all that is required of me, yet things grow tougher and tighter in most nations. The times grow more uncertain: inflation and devaluation have not abated in Nigeria, resources diminish, and the work of my hands seems unfulfilling and not a reward indeed.
So Father, as I build, let me reap; as I give, let me not lack. O Lord, my God, my Deliverer, You are the One who lifts the humble from the dust – come to my aid; do not let me fall beneath this weight; lift me, and lift all who are struggling in this time of hardship; stretch forth Your mighty hand and break the yoke of financial oppression we face; speak provision over my life and that of my helpers; breathe abundance into our homes; command restoration where there has been loss; and bring forth fruit where there has been barrenness.
Lord God, Who sustains the weary, who provides streams in the desert, be with me in every trial; guide me through this season of difficulty; grant me wisdom to navigate these financial storms; show me the path to stability and abundance; open doors that no man can shut; provide for all my needs, according to Your good plans for me.
Lord God, the Eternal Judge who weighs the hearts of men and sees the struggles of people as I toil, let me not struggle or go weary; let not worry consume me, but teach me to rest in You; let my faith rise above my fears; let my trust be more significant than my troubles.
Lord God, You are the God who fed Elijah by the brook, multiplied oil for the widow, and rained manna from heaven – bless me with riches from heaven, support all my endeavours, and multiply my oil. And so, Father, I cast my cares upon You; I release my burdens into Your hands; and I wait in expectation, knowing that You will answer and touch our nation that our patriots may prosper. Let the citizens not lose faith in Your Leadership – as the World knows, we love God!
Papa, You will provide, You will deliver – for I pray this in the mighty and matchless Name of Jesus Christ, my Redeemer, my Strong Tower, my Everlasting Hope.
Amen.
*Patriarch’s Note.*
My Beloved Friend,
It is a privilege to walk alongside you in this faith journey and to support you in these profound and essential prayers. Here are *KEY BIBLE VERSES* from the NKJV that harmonise beautifully with our prayer for *HELP AND SUPPORT WITH FINANCES AND MORE:*
- *Philippians 4:19*
*_“And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”_*
- *Matthew 6:31-33*
*_“Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things, the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness first, and all these things shall be added to you.”_*
- *Psalm 37:25-26*
*_“I have been young, and now am old, Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his descendants begging bread. He is ever merciful and lends; His descendants are blessed.”_*
- *Malachi 3:10*
*_“Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,”_* Says the Lord of hosts, *_“If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it.”_*
- *James 1:5*
*_“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.”_*
In times of financial struggle and uncertainty, we must steadfastly hold on to our faith, trusting that God is aware of our needs. These Scriptures remind us of His promise to provide for us and the importance of seeking Him above all else.
– *Recognise God’s Provision:*
Philippians 4:19 encourages us to trust that God will supply our needs according to His abundant resources. He is our provider, and in His timing, the blessings will follow.
– *Seek His Kingdom First:*
Matthew 6:33 speaks volumes about prioritising our relationship with God. As we uphold His righteousness, we can be assured that our material needs will be met.
– *Stand on His Promises:*
Psalm 37 reminds us of God’s faithfulness to those who serve Him. He cares for His people, and when we trust Him, He leaves a legacy of provision for our descendants.
– *Be Generous:*
Malachi 3:10 powerfully reminds us of the blessings that follow faithfulness in giving. God invites us to test Him in this – promising abundance.
– *Wisdom in Difficult Times:*
James 1:5 reassures us that we can ask God for wisdom in navigating financial challenges. He is faithful to guide us in making prudent decisions.
As you pray and seek the Lord’s help in your financial matters, may you be filled with hope and assurance of His unfailing love?
Remember, God is aware of our needs and is our deliverer and sustainer. It is better to pray until we receive our manifestation than to fold our hands in complacency, thinking God will intervene without our efforts. Trust in His timing and His abundant grace.
God bless you abundantly, dear friend!
