*March 20 – Day 16 – PRAYER FOR JOURNEY MERCIES*

 

Lord God Almighty, the Great I Am, Mighty to save, Who led our forefathers through the travails from Rameses to Canaan, Who gave safety in travel to Abraham, I remind You this day, Your promise in Psalm 91:11 that You will command Your angels concerning me to guard me in all my ways; and of the inherent risk in travel anywhere and in particular, the dangers in all forms of travel in Nigeria: bad roads, kidnappers, armed robbers, cultists, insurgents and all manner of wicked people.

 

Lord Almighty, El Roi, the God Who Sees, and from Whom no secret is hidden, watch over me as I travel or move about daily and even within my home.  Lord God, El Hannora, God, the great, the mighty, and the awesome God, who keeps covenant and mercy, let not all the trouble on my way in life daunt or overcome me. Almighty, the Fearsome God, let Your presence be a veil of light around me; cloak me in divine invisibility so that no kidnapper, armed robber, cultist, thug, militant, insurgent or predator may find me, nor any snare ensnare me.

 

God Almighty, Whose eyes scan the earth, let the swords of heaven be drawn against those who seek to harm me in my life’s journey. Lord, Jehovah Shammah, the Lord Who is There,  as I take my steps onto the path set before me, grant that I have the companionship of the Holy Spirit and the guardianship of Your Holy Guardian Angels – protecting me from all harm on the way, and causing that in my life’s daily travel, I see, meet and experience Your grace, and favour of men.

 

O Jehovah Jireh, my Provider, command the winds to be still, the roads to be smooth, the waters to be calm wherever I am, and let the heavens be watchful over my journey, whether by foot, by road, by air, underground or by sea.

 

O Yahweh Tsuri, the Lord my Rock, cradle me in Your arms, let no tempest rise against me, and let my anchor hold in the storms of life.

 

O Yahweh Nissi, the Lord our Banner, raise a standard of fire over me and all mine; let me walk under Your banner; let no hand of evil touch me. Father Lord, Most High, grant that the gates of my departure and arrival be guarded by Arch Angel Michael, the angel of power, and other the Hosts of heaven. Lord God of Sabaoth, grant that the ground beneath me is consecrated, the skies above me are sanctified, and I am hidden in the hollow of Christ’s glorified hand. Be my Deliverer, for I ask all these in the precious Name of Jesus Christ.
