Deuteronomy 28:1-14
Our GOOD NEWS was divinely selected from Deuteronomy 28:1-14:
💕 1. “Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth.
đź’• 2. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you because you obey the voice of the Lord your God:
💕 3. “Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the country.
💕 4. “Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, the produce of your ground and the increase of your herds, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks.
💕 5. “Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl.
💕 6. “Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out.
💕 7. “The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.
💕 8. “The Lord will command the blessing on you in your storehouses and in all to which you set your hand, and He will bless you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you.
💕 9. “The Lord will establish you as a holy people to Himself, just as He has sworn to you if you keep the commandments of the Lord your God and walk in His ways.
đź’• 10. Then all peoples of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of the Lord, and they shall be afraid of you.
đź’• 11. And the Lord will grant you plenty of goods, in the fruit of your body, in the increase of your livestock, and the produce of your ground, in the land of which the Lord swore to your fathers to give you.
đź’• 12. The Lord will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand.
You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow.
đź’• 13. And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them.
đź’• 14. So you shall not turn aside from any of the words which I command you this day, to the right or the left, to go after other gods to serve them.
Deuteronomy 28:1â€-‬14 NKJV
🦅 Let us worship Jehovah in HYMNS:
1: AND can it be that I should gain
An interest in the Saviour’s blood?
Died He for me, who caused His pain?
For me, who Him to death pursued?
Amazing love! How can it be
That Thou, my God, shouldst die for me!
2: Tis mystery all! The Immortal dies:
Who can explore His strange design?
In vain the first-born seraph tries
To sound the depths of love divine.
This mercy all! Let Earth adore,
Let angel minds inquire no more.
3: He left His Father’s throne above-
So free, so infinite His grace-
Emptied Himself of all but love,
And bled for Adam’s helpless race.
This mercy all, immense and free;
For, O my God, it found out me!
4: Long my imprisoned spirit lay
Fast bound in sin and nature’s night
Thine eye diffused a quickening ray-
I woke, and the dungeon flamed with light;
My chains fell off, my heart was free,
I rose, went forth, and followed Thee.
5: No condemnation now I dread;
Jesus, and all in Him, is mine!
Alive in Him, my living Head,
And clothed in righteousness divine,
Bold I approach the eternal throne,
And claim the crown, through Christ, my own.
EXHORTATION
Hear God’s word for you now:
🦅 OUR TEXT: Deuteronomy 28: 1-14.
🦅 OUR THEME: The Summary of Our Obedience.
This Jane Fanny Crosby Hymn assists us in remembering that in linking to the benefits accruable from believing in God, we must realize that a cross went before.
The Old Testament scripture, Deuteronomy 28: 1-14, therefore outlines the blessings that God has promised for us if we obey His commandments. Notice – the blessing will come if we FULLY obey God.
Man, in his sinful nature cannot gain the benefits of holiness. So, we daily confess our sins and renounce them. The moment we have the Holy Spirit Baptism, we shall be able to walk in the Spirit and sin will be disconnected from our life’s routine.
It is not enough to be a Christian without walking in God’s Spirit. That is the fabric of powerless Christians who seek only material gains, and easily fall for Mammon!
We must seek a fuller Christian knowledge. Then all these misguided unbelievers that claim to be emancipated by some knowledge will never reach us. They are sent by satan to subtly attack your faith as if it is mere gullibility and mediocrity to believe in Jesus Christ! Follow Christ and You will be too blessed for their claims to be true to you!
I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. (Galatians 5: 16-18).
You will no longer walk under the principles of trial and error – that makes you to fail a lot before stumbling into an accidental success.
The rewards for obedience are clear: You will be blessed where ever you go.
Please let us be creative in our obedience, this afternoon. Scroll to the passage for today and pray as the Holy Spirit guides you… with each verse! Please do it now!
Today, enemies will suddenly stop being the constant complaint in your life! They would cease to be your prayer point!
It will be easier for you to pray, walk into the necessary physical step that earns you your daily bread, as the LORD will direct your actions, in Jesus’ Name… Your work gets easier because you will NO LONGER work like a jackal and earn peanuts.
Today, You will be empowered to listen to divine directives and live above the verdict of the kingdom of darkness against your destiny!
Your prayer, mixed with the right work efforts, will set you free from all debts, failures and brain-drain, in Jesus’ Name.
With peace of mind, you will see yourself being moved to enter the Spiritual Open Doors to earn what will shock you and your mockers!
Being a Christian makes you a Spiritual Being that works under divine control. Most Churchgoers have lost hope because they lack this knowledge!
God will only fight the battles of those who follow His leadership. Read your Bible. Pray. Worship God. Find the truth about what goes on in technology, science, and healthy living. Expand the horizon!
Beloved, when Jesus commanded His disciples to go to the people of Israel announcing that “the kingdom of heaven is at hand” (Matt. 10:7), He gave them a warning and some advice: “Behold, I am sending you out as sheep amidst wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves” (Matt. 10:16).
In that condition of being wiser than the cunning species living the carnal life in this world, Christian people are granted their heart’s desires!
Let us wrap it up by taking an objective look at the Hymn, Stanza 5, which was inpiredby Romans 5: 1-2:
No condemnation now I dread;
Jesus, and all in Him, is mine!
Alive in Him, my living Head,
And clothed in righteousness divine,
Bold I approach the eternal throne,
And claim the crown, through Christ, my own.
I believe that now, Rom.8:15-17 will take a meaning to you:
For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” The Holy Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.
Romans 8:15â€-‬17 NKJV
If you already have the born-of-God-experience, you need to rededicate your life to God through Christ.
But if that still sounds strange to you, then, Give your life to Christ Jesus.
In acknowledging the state of your life, be faithful to realise that sinful living negates God’s holiness.
Accept Jesus Christ as your LORD and Saviour, and trust Him with the governance of your life: thoughts, speeches, and deeds.
Accept baptism unto His Name (Water Baptism) and the Holy Spirit Baptism, which empowers you to live the Christlike life of Sanctification and Holiness.
Jesus Christ, my saviour, is in the Spirit. He loves you!
I come in peace: Shalom!
đź’• Good afternoon, and have a blessed midweek!
