*April 8: Day 35 – Success At Work and In My Vocation*

Lord God, Who settled mountains in place, gave birth to hills, and marked out the horizon on the face of the deep, help me find firm ground in our troubled and ailing economy and this shaky global economy outlook. O loving Father, God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, Who protected the Israelites of old in His holy wings in the dryness of the cold and hot desert, as I seek work and assistance, give me strength not to be anxious when I seem to be going nowhere; bless me with patience not to despair when things look bleak; and give me serenity to know You are here with me, helping me to carry my cross each day.

The Immortal and Invisible One, Whom no eye has seen, yet whose presence fills all creation, the Silence that speaks Eternity, when in work challenges, give me the stillness that carries the weight of divine wisdom and knowledge; make me invisible to all who stand in my way of success in life, and bring to nothing all they plan against my work and life.

God, the Voice that spoke the Cosmos into being, Who called forth galaxies with a word and set the stars in their courses, say the word and set my stars in their courses so I may stand out by my work as a person of repute and success. O Ancient of Days, Who existed before time and whose reign is from everlasting to everlasting, by the grace of Your Son and His saving work, grant that all I do are works of love that show me as a reflection of a redeemed life; and enables me to reign as king in my vocation.

Lord Jesus, intercede for me that as Father blessed Bezalel to be creative, I too may be filled with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all kinds of artistry that earns salvation and inheritance in the Kingdom of God for the elect forever.

Lord God, heavenly King of glory, let me – like David – rejoice in Your strength, and make my joy in the victories You give me; grant me my heart’s desire;  and do not withhold the request of my lips.  Father, send Your Holy Angels to me – as You sent to David – to greet me with rich blessings; reward me on account of all my inspired works of faith with the crown of salvation; and give me more years of good health, peace and joy, mixed with unalloyed prosperity.

O Thou Holiness, Father Most Holy, grant that I am infused with holiness and righteousness, so all my works will bring me victories in the battle of life and war against sin; make great all I do in my walk of salvation; and bestow on me splendour and majesty, that comes with being an heir to the throne of grace.

Lord God, Cloud-Rider, Ancient and Mighty, the One who moves upon the winds of the heavens and thunders in majesty, make me a faithful steward who serves well, a true obedient servant, a good shepherd that tends well, so on account of the fruits of this, I may be granted ceaseless blessings and made glad, receiving the joy of Your presence in all my affairs.

Grant these my prayers, in the Name of Jesus Christ, the Worker.

*Amen.*
