💎 *Monday, Fifth Week in Lent – Sacrificial Love in Action* 💎

 

💔 *The Sacrifice That Speaks Without Words.* 💔

 

The practical outworking of love in action blesses us with the theme of sacrificial giving while cheerful generosity invites us to examine how far our compassion extends beyond sentiment into tangible acts that bless others. In 2 Corinthians 9:6-7 (NKJV), Paul writes, *_“But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.”_* Lent propels us to align our generosity with God’s heart—cheerful, costly, and transformative.

 

*Jewish-global illustration:* Consider the *_mitzvah tradition of tzedakah_* across Jewish communities worldwide, a practice of charitable giving that sustains the vulnerable and reinforces communal responsibility.
