🕊️ *LENTEN DEVOTION – DAY 26* 🕊
💎 Fourth Sunday of Lent. 💎
💔 *The Joy That Travels With Faith* 💔
Today celebrates joy that persists through the journey toward the Cross. In Philippians 4:4-7 (NKJV), Paul invites, *_“Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!”_* The journey of *Lent* can be strenuous, yet joy anchors our hearts in God’s faithfulness, generosity, and grace. Joy is not a mere emotion but a faithful stance that rests in provision, prayer, and peace.
All nations have their fair share of daily challenges. So, joy becomes a counter-narrative to despair. A family sharing a simple meal with neighbours, a church gathering that laughs together in the Spirit, a community project that finds reasons to celebrate progress—These moments testify that joy persists in hope, gratitude, and communal resilience.
*Reflection:* What realities threaten your joy today, and how can you choose joy in the Lord as a daily discipline? *Lent* invites us to tell stories of grace, offer thanks in the ordinary, and cultivate an outlook that recognises God’s goodness, even in difficulty.
*Today’s practice invites you to:*
Record three things you are grateful for, this week.
Share a brief testimony of God’s faithfulness with someone you trust.
Offer a joyful song or praise in your daily routine, inviting others to glimpse hope in Christ.
🙏 *LITURGICAL PRAYER* 🙏
*_Gracious God of joy,_* fill my heart with gratitude and praise. Help me cultivate a spirit that rejoices in You, regardless of circumstance, and let that joy spill into my relationships, work, and national life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. *(Philippians 4:4-7 NKJV)*
*Prayer for gladness in trials:* Father, teach me to maintain a gentle, thankful heart while facing difficulties, trusting Your loving purpose, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. *(James 1:2-3 NKJV)*
*Intercession for your Nation’s spiritual vitality:* Lord, awaken a culture of joyful faith that witnesses to Your goodness across communities, churches, and families, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. *(Psalm 126:3 NKJV)*
*Closing blessing:* May your soul leap with joy in the Lord Jesus Christ today and always. Amen. *(Nehemiah 8:10 NKJV)*
