Hosea 4:6 – NKJV.

6. *_My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children._*

 

  *Let us make a 7-FOLD PRAYER RAID against the Captivity of the Local Altars:*  

 

1. Destiny, Progress, and Success: “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11 NKJV.)

 

PRAYER: *_Let my Destiny, Progress and Success – hidden or stolen away by my enemies – be found and released by fire in the mighty name of Jesus!_*

 

2. Evil Giants: “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn.” (Isaiah 54:17 NKJV.)

 

PRAYER: *_In Jesus’ name, let every evil giant that intimidates and terrorises me at the point of breakthrough be cremated this day by the fire of the Holy Ghost!_*

 

3. Buried Virtues: “But the path of the just is like the shining sun, that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day.” (Proverbs 4:18 NKJV.)

 

PRAYER: *_O God! Let all my buried virtues receive instant resurrection NOW in the Name of Jesus!_*

 

4. Control by Powers: “Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness.” (Ephesians 6:14 NKJV.)

 

PRAYER: *_Henceforth – as I pray today IN JESUS’ NAME – I refuse to be controlled by any power contrary to the Almighty God!_*

 

5. Destroyers Empowered by Past Errors: “The LORD will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.” (Exodus 14:14 NKJV.)

 

PRAYER: *_With the finger of God, I destroy every destroyer that has been empowered over my life through the past errors of my Youth – in my marriage, among my friends, in my family, in the Church, through my speeches, thoughts, actions or inactions… in Jesus’ Name!_*

*ABOUT THE AUTHOR AND THE HYMN!*

 

Elliott, Charlotte, was born March 18, 1789. She died on Sept. 22, 1871.

 

Though weak and feeble in body, occasioned by constant illness which started when she was aged 32 (and which left her “disabled” for life), she possessed a strong imagination, and a well – cultured and intellectual mind.

 

Although sometimes depressed by her condition, she always felt renewed by the assurance of salvation, and she responded to her Saviour in hymns with her “strong imagination and a well cultured and intellectual mind”

 

The verses of this hymn are characterised by tenderness of feeling, plaintive simplicity, deep devotion, and perfect rhythm.

 

Charlotte Elliot wrote this hymn about how to find salvation through Christ. It has been used by many as the call to the altar at the close of services, as it brings a quite simple message of sin, forgiveness, and salvation to all that turn from sin and trust in Jesus. Some Revivalists use the Hymn to soften hearts to receive the LORD and receive deliverance from Tribulations of this World.

 

The crux of this hymn which is succinctly expressed by the writer tended to express depth in the realisation of Gods love and forgiveness. So in the verses, she restated to herself the Gospel of pardon, peace, and heaven.

 

“Probably without difficulty or long pause,” she wrote the hymn, getting comfort by thus definitely “recollecting” the eternity of the Rock beneath her feet.

 

There, then, always, not only for some past moment but ” even now ” she was accepted in the Beloved “Just as I am”. Thus, overcoming the lack of knowledge issue of Hosea 4:6 that make God’s people perish. Come to Jesus Christ just as you are!

 

Though depressed with feelings of uselessness and loneliness, we can recall the message “Come to Christ just as you are,” which Elliott had received during the darkest period of her soul. She then overcame her distress to write this hymn.

 

Recall the repetition of the short line, “O Lamb of God, I come.”  This is a commitment to Jesus – centred life.

 

There is a beautiful structure in this hymn, “from the nakedness of ‘Just as I am’ to the climax of ‘O Lamb of God, I come!’”

 

People are not “good enough” to come to Jesus. It is through God’s initiative, pardon, promises and free love mentioned throughout the hymn that everyone can come to Jesus.

 

Just like Elliott, people will face “conflict,” “doubt” and “fighting and fears within [and] without,” but one can find rest in Jesus.

 

Christ is our hope, in him we are at peace and our true peace resides in him.

 

We are not perfect; we have too many flaws but this hymn always reminds us that God takes us, “just as I am” without judgement.

 

His love has no bounds, it is reckless, it is pure and never ending. This is our saviour.

 

The song is like running to a Big daddy who listens to your heart and knows what you are going through and tells you with a great smile “all is well my child.”

1 Corinthians 10: 19-22 (NKJV) –

 

19. *_What am I saying then? That an idol is anything,

or what is offered to idols is anything?_*

20. *_Rather, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice they sacrifice to demons and not to God, and I do not want you to have fellowship with demons._*
21. *_You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons;

you cannot partake of the Lord’s table and the table, of demons._*

22. *_Or do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than He?_*

6. *_My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children._*

Brethren, we must seek understanding with knowledge.

An altar is a place of serious Spiritual transaction – or a venue where sacrifices are offered to an entity being worshipped. The Bible mentions an altar over Four Hundred Thirty Times, starting with the time of Cain and Abel. The sacrifice of Abel (who the scripture canons confirmed had an altar) was accepted, while Cain’s own (said to be without an altar) was unacceptable before God!

 

When NOAH came out of the Ark, he built an altar to God, to start with. All the descendants of Abraham – just like their ancestor, with foremost successful leaders in the scriptures – built altars and worshipped God!  The ALTAR, therefore, is necessary material to cut covenants with the Almighty God – so that we do not perish. No wonder, the Bible says in Hosea 4: 6, NKJV, thus:

 

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you…”

 

 

   *ALTARS, SO WHAT?*

These brief facts should move us deeper into the understanding of this peculiar knowledge:

 

1. If you have ever built an altar for any god, except Jesus’ God, then you must seek deliverance.
2. The Land on which a sacrifice is placed or done is dedicated to the spirit to which the sacrifice is addressed. There, at the place of slaughter, a blood sacrifice is concluded. In such a place, the blood usually cries… That Hospital where ’abortion’ is performed thus becomes the place of the cry of innocent children… for vengeance!
3. Any sacrifice brought to any altar demands a regular supply of victuals. The most regular place of your Prayer is your altar, demanding regular prayers to pave the way for the regularity of your success!
4. An Evil Minister pollutes the Good Sacrifice of Prayer or Praise. So, know whom you mix your blood with (through sexual acts or other ways), whom you receive your communion from, or who joins you and your spouse in marriage!
5. Whatever you plant under your building Project (or anywhere else)… is a Covenant Link.
6. Pray as you purchase ANYTHING from the Market: In Africa, such is the veritable altar for the interaction of unseen spirits and occult meetings while normal people sleep.
7. You must possess the Authority of God, to be strengthened to enter the high places to dominate and destroy the evil covenants of your adversaries… or even yours!

 

 

 

   *THE RELEVANCE OF THE COVENANT.*

Again, check out 1 Corinthians 10: 19-22 (NKJV) –

 

19 What am I saying then? That an idol is anything,

or what is offered to idols is anything?

20 Rather, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice they sacrifice to demons

and not to God, and I do not want you to have fellowship with demons.

21 You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons;

you cannot partake of the Lord’s table and the table of demons.

While a Local Altar is a strategic place of spiritual transaction for or against a worshipper before a deity, a Covenant is a solemn, mutual understanding or a legally binding agreement between two or more people to provide a lasting commitment. Altars are only needed where covenants bind the worshipper and the worshipped entity.

 

A Covenant has THREE distinguishing Features:

1. OATH, PROMISES. Words – written or spoken – must be involved for a covenant to be brokered. Whether it is a word of curse, blessing or promise-to-do-this-or-that, the terms of covenants are usually well spelt out. In the case of the evil one, the repercussions are typically silent (hidden, to lure the corrupt souls). But God gives His conditions in His words.
2. This expresses the ‘life or death’ gravity of Covenants. A Priest or arbiter usually oversees the shedding of blood… or at least a drop-of-blood mixture or contact. Sexual intercourse is the most typical blood covenant: the third party (God or the devil) is always there as witness!
3. AN ALTAR. A Covenant must take place in a location. A temple or an ordinary place is somewhere for the agreement to occur. Anywhere you set aside or use for communicating with the supernatural is an altar!

 

The following is a process of mastering success in walking with God through the acquired communication skills. It is achieved through faith in His Son and a positive understanding of the Holy Scriptures.

 

 

   *AM I A CAPTIVE OF AN EVIL ALTAR?*

 

We must be attentive to our likes, dislikes, and what we cannot control naturally… that we often witness.  These are symptoms that warn that you may be a Captive – needing HELP FROM ABOVE for deliverance from demonic captivities.

 

1. Dreaming of your home village or where you were born.
2. Significant blockade at the threshold of enormous success… This is often referred to as the amputated breakthrough.
3. Restlessness or lack of Peace in marriage: Marital Failure.
4. Swimming in Waters (stream, rivers) in a dream.
5. Dreaming of being pursued by Policemen, dogs, masquerades, etc.
6. Lack of physical, spiritual or financial progress in the face of conscientious hard work. Some people often have many people owing them while they remain insolvent.
7. Noticeable spiritually inept life of backwardness or inability to pray.
8. Being constantly pre-occupied with imaginary enemies, or living in suspicion.
9. Making the same mistakes over and over.

• Having repeated problems, even after solutions had hitherto been meticulously adhered to.
• Bearing a ‘Name’ whose meaning controls the life of the bearer.
• Being unable to remember your dreams blocks the proffering of solutions.
• Lack of time to serve God!

 

  *SUCCESS IS SURE.*

As we close, I present my divinely inspired 7-fold Solutions to the Problem brought to the fore by the Captivity of the Local Altars.

1. Repentance: The Golden recipe is genuine turning around…
2. Renounce every evil Covenant.
3. Renew your Prayer Life daily, praying fervently to withdraw your life’s goodness from the enemy’s captivity.
4. Refuse to collect life’s benefits as temptingly presented by the enemy.
5. Recover your strength after every bout of discouragement without keeping the garment of heaviness. Walking in strife retains old evil covenants.
6. Resolutely address the Altar by its name and attack it with determination to win.
7. Render the strongman paralysed through a Christ-like life of reviving renewal!

 

 

  *Again, Let Us Pray!* 

 

8. Guidance and Release from Bondage: “For the Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the LORD has anointed me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives.” (Isaiah 61:1 NKJV). 

 

PRAYER: *_ Today, O God, release your spirit to guide me through this life’s sojourn so that I may be permanently released from the bondage of evil altars, in Jesus’ Name!

9. Satanic Poison: “They shall lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” (Mark 16:18 NKJV). 

 

PRAYER: *_Every satanic poison I had taken into my body since I was incubated in the womb till now – I command you to be given out as I breathe in and out, in Jesus’ Name!_*

 

• Vomit Satanic Share: “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:32 NKJV). 

 

PRAYER: *_I vomit every satanic share I had accepted from the devil’s altar, in Jesus’ Name!_*

 

• Demonic Dedication: “Submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.” (James 4:7 NKJV). 

 

PRAYER: *_I renounce and cancel every demonic dedication or oppression against my life, forever, in Jesus’ Name!_*

 

• Evil Authorities: “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6:12 NKJV). 

 

PRAYER: *_Every evil authority, command or force ruling my destiny, demonic incantations, monitoring powers and destiny controllers –Die– in Jesus’ Name!_*

 

• Witchcraft and Sorcery: “There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, or one who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer.” (Deuteronomy 18:10 NKJV). 

 

PRAYER: *_All evil authorities of witchcraft, sorcery and strongmen of the Land – lose your Touch, in Jesus’ Name!_*

 

• Bad News and Evil Reports: “The righteous is delivered from trouble, and it comes to the wicked instead.” (Proverbs 11:8 NKJV). 

 

PRAYER: *_Every harbinger of bad news, owners of evil reports and weights of sorrow… Carry your curses, in Jesus’ Name!_*

 

15. Removing from Evil Altars: “The LORD will establish you as a holy people to Himself, just as He has sworn to you, if you keep the commandments of the LORD your God and walk in His ways.” (Deuteronomy 28:9 NKJV). 

 

PRAYER: *_With the Power of God, I remove my name, blessings, soundness and joy from all evil altars and archives, in Jesus’ Name!_*

 

16. Thankfulness for Deliverance: “But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Corinthians 15:57 NKJV). 

 

PRAYER: *_Thank you, Jesus, for removing my name from the list of people who will be lost on the Local Altars of this world!_*

 

May God bless you as you carry this message into your homes, workplaces, and communities. May we commit ourselves to this path, trusting that God will lead us to excel in this season of triumph.
