Thou flowing water pure and clear

Make music for Thy Lord to hear

Alleluia! Alleluia!

Thou fire so masterful and bright

That givest man both warmth and light,

All ye men of tender heart

Forgiving others take your part

O sing ye! Alleluia!

Ye who long pain and sorrow bear,

Praise God and on Him cast your care

*_Refrain_*

*5*

Let all things their Creator bless,

And worship Him in humbleness.

O praise Him! Alleluia!

Praise, praise the Father, praise the Son

And praise the Spirit, Three in One

*_Refrain_*

My God’s Beloved,

*_“A Symphony of Praise”_* refers to a harmonious collective expression of worship and adoration directed towards God. Just as a symphony orchestrates various instruments to create a unified melody, this concept embodies the idea that all aspects of creation—human voices, nature, and the cosmos—join together in a grand chorus that glorifies the Creator. It signifies an intricate interplay of diverse elements, each contributing its unique sound and beauty, culminating in a powerful testimony of faith and gratitude. This symphony invites us to recognise our part in the divine composition. It encourages us to praise God actively, resonating with the truth that our worship, like a symphony, is most beautiful when collective and collaborative.

Our focus today – *_“A Symphony of Praise”_* – is the Creation’s Call to Worship. It is derived from Psalm 148:1-5 (NKJV), proclaiming: *_“Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD from the heavens; Praise Him in the heights! Praise Him, all His angels; Praise Him, all His hosts! Praise Him, sun and moon; Praise Him, all you stars of light! Praise Him, you heavens of heavens, And you waters above the heavens! Let them praise the name of the LORD, For He commanded, and they were created.”_*

*Ecclesiastical Belief:*
The theme of praising God through creation is a cornerstone of the Christian doctrine, encapsulating the belief that all creation reflects our Creator’s majesty and glory. Ecclesiastical teaching underscores that nature, from the grandest celestial bodies to the most minute creatures, is a testament to God’s creative power and sustaining presence in the universe. Just as St. Francis of Assisi celebrated this in his hymn, “All Creatures of Our God and King,” we are summoned to join creation in this harmonious chorus of praise.

*Biblical Note on Psalm 148:*
Psalm 148 is a profound hymn of praise that invites all of heaven and earth to worship the Lord. This psalm acts as a unifying declaration of God’s sovereignty over all creation. The imagery is striking: heavens and earth, angels and celestial bodies, and the elements of nature are all called to glorify God. In this context, the psalm encourages us to recognise our role in this cosmic choir, urging us to participate in acknowledging God’s glory, mercy, and power.

In times of trials and tribulation, whether faced by governments grappling with crises, corporations navigating economic challenges, or individuals battling personal difficulties, Psalm 148 offers an inherent invitation to look beyond our struggles and see God’s greatness in the beauty of creation.

Saint Francis of Assisi, the author of our hymn, lived in a tumultuous time—conflict, economic strife, and societal upheaval surrounded him. Yet, he found solace and inspiration in nature, where he perceived the fingerprints of God. His call fofor every Creature to praise God” reminds us that inspiration can still be found amid our struggles. Governments can promote policies that nurture the environment, recognising it as a divine reflection. Corporations can emphasise stewardship rather than exploitation, ensuring their operations resonate with creation’s harmony. Individuals can lean on faith in their darkest moments to extend a hand of love to others, drawing strength from the beauty of nature to remind them of God’s faithfulness and love.

*Call to Action:*
As we contemplate these truths, I invite each of you—will you join the symphony of praise?

Remember, whenever you see the rising sun, hear the rustling of leaves, or admire a starry night, you are experiencing an invitation to worship. Let us open our hearts to the call of creation to praise the Creator.

Let us act as Christ’s ambassadors spreading this divine song, encouraging families, assisting workplaces, and communities to embrace a culture of gratitude and worship. Let us conduct ourselves in ways that honour creation and glorify the Creator as our Champion, fostering a world where praise is a way of life.

Beloved, in closing, let us be reminded that the hymn we cherish, “All Creatures of Our God and King,” is not merely a song; it is a dynamic creed—a call to align our lives with the overarching glory of God. As we go our separate ways to make the best of today, let us carry with us the essence of Psalm 148, embodying the words of Saint Francis as we surrender our voices, our communities, and our very lives to the chorus of praise that resounds from creation. *_“O Praise Him! Alleluia!”_*

May the peace and joy of the Lord fill our hearts as we live to glorify Him in all our endeavours.

Amen.
