🎵 *OPENING HYMN MHB. 578 — _“A Charge to Keep I Have”_*

🔍 YouTube Search: “A Charge to Keep I Have — Charles Wesley, Standard Major Mainstream Hymnals #555”

1: A CHARGE to keep I have,

A God to glorify,

A never-dying soul to save,

And fit it for the sky.

2: To serve the present age,

My calling to fulfil;

O may it all my powers engage

To do my Master’s will!

3: Arm me with jealous care,

As in Thy sight to live;

And O Thy servant, Lord, prepare

A strict account to give!

4: Help me to watch and pray,

And on Thyself rely,

Assured, if I my trust betray,

I shall for ever die.

(Charles Wesley, 1762 — A hymn built entirely on the sober theme of accountable stewardship — every believer as one who must give a strict account, matching precisely the parable of the unjust steward and the talents.)

🙏✝️❤️‍🔥  *SEVEN PROPHETIC PRAYERS*

(Preparatory — Before the Exhortation)

❤️‍🔥 *Prayer 1 — _Stewardship Examined._*

_“Give an account of your stewardship, for you can no longer be steward.”_ — Luke 16:2 (NKJV).

Title: Worldly Wisdom Turned Toward Eternal Purpose.

_“For the sons of this world are more shrewd in their generation than the sons of light.”_ — Luke 16:8 (NKJV).

❤️‍🔥 *_God of true wisdom, ignite in this congregation the same urgency, creativity, and diligence that the world applies to temporal gain — but redirected wholly toward eternal Kingdom purposes, in Jesus’ Name. Amen!_* ❤️‍🔥

❤️‍🔥 *Prayer 3 — _Faithful With Unrighteous Mammon_*

Title: Money Mastered, Not Served.

_“He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much… If therefore you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon…”_ — Luke 16:10-11 (NKJV).

❤️‍🔥 *_Lord over all resources, teach every believer here to master money rather than be mastered by it! Let faithful stewardship in small financial matters qualify this congregation for greater spiritual trust, in Jesus’ Name. Amen!_* ❤️‍🔥

❤️‍🔥 *Prayer 4 — _Two Masters Refused._*

Title: God Alone Enthroned Above Money.

_“No servant can serve two masters… You cannot serve God and mammon.”_ — Luke 16:13 (NKJV).

❤️‍🔥 *_Jealous God, expose and dethrone every divided allegiance to money in this congregation! Let no soul here attempt the impossible task of serving both You and material wealth, in Jesus’ Name. Amen!_* ❤️‍🔥

❤️‍🔥 *Prayer 5 — _Talents Multiplied, Not Buried._*

_“Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things.”_ — Matthew 25:21 (NKJV).

❤️‍🔥 *_Master of the talents, expose every buried gift, hidden ability, and neglected calling in this congregation! Let every talent, however small, be employed diligently for Kingdom increase, in Jesus’ Name. Amen!_* ❤️‍🔥

❤️‍🔥 *Prayer 6 — _Against the Spirit of Fear-Driven Burial._*

Title: Courage Replacing Timidity in Kingdom Investment.

_“And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground.”_ — Matthew 25:25 (NKJV).

❤️‍🔥 *_Father of courage, cast out every spirit of fear that causes gifts and resources to be buried rather than invested! Let boldness replace timidity in every steward here, in Jesus’ Name. Amen!_* ❤️‍🔥

❤️‍🔥 *Prayer 7 — _Friends Made for Eternity_*

Title: Resources Invested in Souls, Not Merely Possessions.

_“Make friends for yourselves by unrighteous mammon, that when you fail, they may receive you into an everlasting home.”_ — Luke 16:9 (NKJV).

❤️‍🔥 *_Eternal God, teach every soul in this congregation to invest earthly resources in ways that produce eternal fruit! Let generosity toward souls outweigh the accumulation of temporal possessions, in Jesus’ Name. Amen!_* ❤️‍🔥

In 1867, Alfred Nobel invented dynamite, amassing a vast fortune from an invention primarily used in warfare and destruction. When his brother Ludvig died in 1888, a French newspaper mistakenly published Alfred’s obituary instead, condemning him as “the merchant of death.” Profoundly disturbed by how history would remember him, Nobel rewrote his entire will, redirecting his fortune to establish the Nobel Prizes — rewarding those who conferred *_“the greatest benefit to mankind.”_* Nobel’s shrewdness in business had made him wealthy; his late-arriving wisdom about legacy transformed how that wealth would be remembered forever. He had the resources all along — what changed was his understanding of what truly mattered.

Beloved, few parables in Scripture puzzle readers more than the parable of the unjust steward. A dishonest manager, facing dismissal, shrewdly reduces his master’s debtors’ bills to secure their future favour — and astonishingly, *_“the master commended the unjust steward because he had dealt shrewdly”_* (Luke 16:8). Jesus is not commending the dishonesty; He is commending the shrewdness — the urgent, decisive, forward-thinking action taken in light of an approaching reckoning.

🍇👑❤️‍🔥

*The Rebuke Hidden in the Commendation*

Jesus’ point cuts deep: “For the sons of this world are more shrewd in their generation than the sons of light” (v.8). Worldly people plan for their financial future with remarkable urgency, creativity, and diligence. Yet believers, who possess certain knowledge of eternity and final judgment, often steward their time, gifts, and resources with far less urgency than unbelievers apply to fleeting temporal gain. This is the rebuke — not that shrewdness is wrong, but that it is criminally underutilised by those who claim eternal stakes.

🍇👑❤️‍🔥

*The Principle: Faithfulness Scales Upward*

*_“He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much”_* (v.10). Heaven’s economy operates on a principle of proven faithfulness — small stewardship tests precede greater Kingdom responsibility. Matthew 25’s parable of the talents illustrates this precisely: two servants invest and double their master’s money, receiving identical commendation regardless of the actual amount — *_“Well done, good and faithful servant”_* (v.21, 23) — while the servant who buried his one talent out of fear receives harsh judgment, not for having less, but for doing nothing with what he had.

🍇👑❤️‍🔥

*The Ultimate Choice: One Master, Not Two*

Jesus concludes both passages with the same unavoidable ultimatum: *_“You cannot serve God and mammon”_* (Luke 16:13). Every believer stewards time, talents, and treasure under one of two ultimate allegiances. There is no neutral middle ground — money either serves Kingdom purposes under God’s Lordship, or it silently becomes a rival master demanding devotion God alone deserves.

Beloved, examine your stewardship today. Are you managing your resources, gifts, and time with the same urgency the world applies to temporal gain — but directed toward eternal purposes? Or have you buried what was entrusted to you, waiting for a more convenient season that may never come?

🙏✝️❤️‍🔥 *SEVEN INTERCESSORY PRAYERS*

*_(Post-Exhortation — Prophetic Charismatic Warfare)_*

❤️‍🔥 *Prayer 8 — _Against Buried Talents._*

Title: Every Hidden Gift Exhumed and Activated.

_“Then he who had received the one talent… went and hid his lord’s money.”_ — Matthew 25:18 (NKJV).

❤️‍🔥 *_My Father, My God — we command every buried talent, gift, and calling in this congregation to be exhumed and activated RIGHT NOW! We rebuke the fear that causes burial, consumed by Holy Ghost fire, in Jesus’ Name. Amen!_* ❤️‍🔥

❤️‍🔥 *Prayer 9 — _Against Divided Allegiance to Money._*

Title: Mammon Dethroned, God Alone Enthroned.

_“You cannot serve God and mammon.”_ — Luke 16:13 (NKJV).

❤️‍🔥 *_Jealous God, we dethrone every idol of money and material security competing for the throne of this congregation’s hearts! We command singular, undivided allegiance to God alone, in Jesus’ Name. Amen!_* ❤️‍🔥

❤️‍🔥 *Prayer 10 — _For Kingdom Shrewdness Released._*

❤️‍🔥 *Prayer 11 — _For Faithfulness in Small Things._*

❤️‍🔥 *_Father of increase, cultivate radical faithfulness in the small, unseen stewardships of this congregation! Let every soul qualify for greater Kingdom responsibility through diligence in the least, in Jesus’ Name. Amen!_* ❤️‍🔥

❤️‍🔥 *Prayer 12 — _Against the Spirit of Fear-Driven Paralysis._*

❤️‍🔥 *_Lord Jesus, we decree that Christ’s Good News Mission stewards every resource — time, talent, and treasure — with shrewd, urgent, Kingdom-minded diligence! Let this ministry hear “well done” from the Master on that final day, in Jesus’ Name. Amen!_* ❤️‍🔥

❤️‍🔥 *Prayer 14 — _The Warfare Benediction._*

Title: Sent Out as Faithful and Shrewd Stewards.

_“Make friends for yourselves by unrighteous mammon, that when you fail, they may receive you into an everlasting home.”_ — Luke 16:9 (NKJV).

❤️‍🔥 *_My Father, My God — seal every soul departing this sanctuary today as faithful, shrewd, and urgent stewards of every resource entrusted to them! Let them invest wisely for eternity this week, in Jesus’ Name. Amen!_* ❤️‍🔥

🎵 *CLOSING HYMN MHB. 545 — _“We Give Thee But Thine Own”_*

🔍 YouTube Search: “We Give Thee But Thine Own — William Walsham How Standard Major Mainstream Hymnals #545”

1: WE give Thee but Thine own,

Whate’er the gift may be;

All that we have is Thine alone,

A trust, O Lord, from Thee.

2: May we Thy bounties thus

As stewards true receive,

And gladly, as Thou blessest us,

To Thee our first-fruits give.

3: To comfort and to bless,

To find a balm for woe,

To tend the lone and fatherless,

Is angels’ work below.

4: The captive to release,

To God the lost to bring,

To teach the way of life and peace —

It is a Christ-like thing.

(William Walsham How, 1858 — The definitive Anglican-Methodist hymn on stewardship, perfectly sealing this message on faithful management of every resource God entrusts to His people.)
