💕🦅 THEME:

*“THIS IS MY BODY: THE TABLE THAT TRANSFORMS!”*

*_—When You Come to the Lord’s Table With an emptied and Prepared Heart, You Leave as a filled and Different Person._*

🎵 *OPENING HYMN— MHB. 371*

*_“And Can It Be That I Should Gain”_*

1: AND can it be that I should gain

An interest in the Saviour’s blood?

Did He die for me, who caused His pain?

For me, who pursued Him to death?

Amazing love! how can it be

That Thou, my God, shouldst die for me?

Refrain:

Amazing love! how can it be

That Thou, my God, shouldst die for me?

2: He left His Father’s throne above —

So free, so infinite His grace —

Emptied Himself of all but love,

And bled for Adam’s helpless race;

‘Tis mercy all, immense and free,

For, O my God, it found out me.

3: Long my imprisoned spirit lay

Fast bound in sin and nature’s night;

Thine eye diffused a quickening ray;

I woke — the dungeon flamed with light;

My chains fell off, my heart was free,

I rose, went forth, and followed Thee.

4: No condemnation now I dread;

Jesus, and all in Him, is mine!

Alive in Him, my living Head,

And clothed in righteousness divine,

Bold I approach the eternal throne,

And claim the crown, through Christ my own.

(Charles Wesley, 1738 — One of the supreme Wesleyan hymn of redemption and assurance, perfectly befitting a Communion Sunday celebration.)

On the night of 18th June 1815, the Duke of Wellington sat down to supper, hours after the Battle of Waterloo — the most consequential battle of the nineteenth century. Those who joined his table that evening rose from it as changed men. They had shared bread with the commander who had just altered the course of history. Every table carries the identity of the one who hosts it — and no table in history carries greater transforming power than the table of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Wellington’s table changed soldiers. Christ’s table changes souls — and that is the difference between history and eternity! ✝️

Beloved, on the night He was betrayed — the darkest night in redemptive history — Jesus did not convene a council. He spread a table. And everything that happened at that table was deliberate, profound, and permanently transforming. 🍇👑❤️‍🔥

*The Table Remembers: _Do This in Remembrance of Me._*

Paul reminds the Corinthian church — and us — that the Lord’s Table is first and foremost an act of intentional remembrance. *_“This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me”_* (1 Corinthians 11:25, NKJV). The Greek word ‘anamnesis’ means far more than a mental recollection — it is a re-presenting, a making-present-again of the sacrifice at Calvary. When we come to this table, we are not merely recalling a distant historical event. We are entering into the living reality of Christ’s broken body and shed blood — present, powerful, and personally applied to every participating soul.

🍇👑❤️‍🔥

*The Table Proclaims: _A Sermon Without Words_*

Every Communion service is a sermon. *_“You proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes”_* (1 Corinthians 11:26, NKJV). The broken bread preaches the Incarnation — God clothed in flesh for our salvation. The poured-out cup preaches the Atonement — life surrendered that we might live. Together they preach the Second Coming — till He comes. Past, present, and future are compressed into one sacred meal. The table is not a conclusion to worship — it is worship at its most concentrated and its most honest.

🍇👑❤️‍🔥

*The Table Transforms: _Abide and Be Changed_*

Jesus declared in John 6: *_“Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him”_* (John 6:56, NKJV). The word abides — Greek ‘menō’ — means to remain, to dwell permanently, to be at home. The Lord’s Table is not a transaction — it is an invitation to permanent union with the Living Christ. Those who come examined, repentant, and genuinely hungry do not leave the same. They leave with Christ more deeply embedded in their being, His life more fully coursing through their soul; and their hunger satiated!

Beloved, this is not mere bread and wine. This is the body and blood of the King of kings — and every prepared heart that approaches this table leaves the service, transformed.

Come hungry. Come examined. Come expectant.

*_“I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever.”_* — John 6:51 (NKJV). ✝️❤️‍🔥🦅

🙏✝️❤️‍🔥 *SEVEN INTERCESSORY PRAYERS*

(Post-Exhortation).

❤️‍🔥 *Prayer 8 — _For the Backslidden: Return to the Table_*

Title: Prodigals Welcomed Home.

_“I will arise and go to my father.”_ — Luke 15:18 (NKJV).

*_Loving Father, draw every backslidden and prodigal soul back to Your table today! Let the aroma of Your grace be more compelling than every far country they have wandered into — and let them arise and return to the table of their Father, in Jesus’ Name. Amen!_* ❤️‍🔥

❤️‍🔥 *Prayer 9 — _For the Broken-hearted: Healed at the Table_*

Title: Wholeness Received at His Feet.

_“He heals the broken-hearted and binds up their wounds.”_ — Psalm 147:3 (NKJV).

*_Healing Lord, let every broken-hearted soul in this congregation encounter the transforming power of Your table today! Every wound of rejection, betrayal, grief, and loss — let the body broken for our wholeness bring complete and permanent healing, in Jesus’ Name. Amen!_* ❤️‍🔥

❤️‍🔥 *Prayer 10 — _For the Unsaved: Drawn to the Table_*

Title: Sinners Invited to the Feast.

_“Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.”_— Luke 14:23 (NKJV).

*_Lord of the harvest, use the testimony of this Communion Sunday to draw souls who have never yet sat at Your table! Let the proclamation of Your broken body and shed blood be the irresistible invitation that compels the unsaved into Your kingdom, in Jesus’ Name. Amen!_* ❤️‍🔥

❤️‍🔥 *Prayer 11 — _For Church Unity: One Table, One Body_*

Title: The Body United in Love.

_“Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all partake of the one bread.”_ — 1 Corinthians 10:17 (NKJV).

*_Father of unity, let the Lord’s Table destroy every wall of division, offence, and faction within Christ’s Good News Mission! Let this congregation rise from this table as one body — unified in love, purpose, and devotion to the Risen Christ, in Jesus’ Name. Amen!_* ❤️‍🔥

❤️‍🔥 *Prayer 12 — _For the Sick: Healing Through His Stripes_*

Title: By His Wounds We Are Healed.

_“…by whose stripes you were healed.”_ — 1 Peter 2:24 (NKJV).

*_Risen Healer, let the healing covenant sealed in the broken body of Jesus be activated over every sick and afflicted person in this congregation today! Let every disease, every chronic condition, every medically impossible situation bow to the authority of the body broken for our wholeness, in Jesus’ Name. Amen!_* ❤️‍🔥

❤️‍🔥 *Prayer 13 — _For the Nation: Covered by Covenant Blood_*

Title: Nigeria Under the Blood.

_“…and the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you.”_ — Exodus 12:13 (NKJV).

*_Covenant-keeping God, we plead the blood of Jesus over Nigeria and other troubled nations, today! Let the covenant sealed at Calvary speak louder than every curse of corruption, violence, and national decay — and let this nation be covered, preserved, and transformed by the power of that precious blood, in Jesus’ Name. Amen!_* ❤️‍🔥

❤️‍🔥 *Prayer 14 — _The Benediction: Go, Transformed_*

Title: Sent From the Table as Living Witnesses.

_“Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead…make you complete in every good work to do His will.”_ — Hebrews 13:20-21 (NKJV).

*_God of the table and the empty tomb, seal every worshipper in this congregation—and onlinewith the transforming grace of this Communion Sunday! Let them carry the reality of the broken bread and the poured-out cup into their homes, workplaces, and communities — as living proclamations of the Lord’s death till He comes again, in Jesus’ Name. Amen!_* ❤️‍🔥

✝️❤️‍🔥🦅

May the Table that broke bread with sinners, healed the sick, and conquered death — transform you completely, now and forevermore. Go, transformed — and proclaim His death till He comes!
