ποΈ *LENTEN DEVOTION β DAY 29* π
π *Wednesday β Fifth Week in Lent – Service and humility in leadership* π
Β
π *The Servant Leader* π
True leadership is shaped by humility and service. Philippians 2:3-8 (NKJV) calls us to esteem others, not ourselves, and to imitate Christβs humility. In a nation seeking governance that serves, this day invites us to model leadership that favours the common good, prioritising people over prestige, and integrity over convenience. The kind of followership and leadership we give determines the kind of leaders we deserve.
Β
Have you considered community organisers, faith leaders, and public servants who choose service over self-promotion? Such leaders invest time and resources in people, mentor others, and advocate for the marginalised, becoming living testimonies of Christβs humility. We can get there if our hearts are positively focused.
Β
*Reflection:* How can I embody humble leadership today? Are my decisions shaped by self-interest or by the welfare of others?
Β
*Todayβs practice invites you to:*
Identify one leadership relationship where you can serve, rather than lead from beneath authority.
Practise a visible act of service that blesses others beyond your circle.
Pray for leaders to imitate Christ in generosity and humility.
Β
π *LITURGICAL PRAYER* π
