💎 *Tuesday – Fourth Week in Lent – Sound doctrine and spiritual maturity* 💎

 

💔 *The Solid Ground of Truth* 💔

Today, let us anchor ourselves in sound doctrine as the foundation for growth in Christ. 1 Timothy 4:16 (NKJV) urges, *_“Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.”_* Lent invites us to deepen Biblical literacy, hold fast to essential truths, and let obedience spring from a well-formed faith. In the World’s diverse spiritual landscape, sturdy doctrine guards the Church against error and equips believers to serve with integrity.

 

Misinformation can spread quickly. Hence, churches become beacons of truth and mercy. A Bible study group that remedies confusion with Scripture, a pastor who counsels with both grace and accuracy, and families who test teachings against the Word—These acts cultivate a robust, resilient faith.

 

*Reflection:* Are our beliefs anchored in Scripture or swayed by trend? *Lent* invites a sober appraisal: what core truths govern our decisions, conversations, and conduct?

 

*Today’s practice invites us to:*

Review a favourite sermon or teaching and compare it with Scripture.

Memorise a key verse that sharpens sound doctrine in daily life.

Mentor someone in sound doctrine through a simple study plan.
