Revelation 21:3-4 says,
*_“And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, ‘Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they will be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God.’ He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying, nor shall there be any more pain, for the former things have passed away.”_* 💕

Most of the time, I consider the weight of worry and expectations humans have in the world in which we live. Rich or poor, Religious or free-thinker… no one is spared! We inhabit a world where sorrow often feels like a constant companion: Broken relationships, sickness, loss, and the relentless pace of life can leave us weary, questioning if joy is even possible.
This reminds me of a Biblical Illustration: *_The Broken Jar and the Unquenchable Light:_*
In a war-torn village, a widow clutched a shattered clay jar—her last remnant of hope. It once held oil for her lamp, but now lay in pieces, mirroring her heart. That night, a traveller entered her home. *_“Why do you weep?”_* he asked. She whispered, *_“The darkness wins. I have nothing left.”_*
The man knelt, gathered the shards, and breathed into them. Suddenly, light blazed through every crack, piercing the night. *_“The jar is broken,”_* he admitted, *_“but the oil burns brighter now.”_* The widow wept again—not in grief, but in awe. The traveller was Elijah (1 Kings 17:8–16).
Like that jar, our world feels fractured—sorrow seeps through every crack. But the Scripture says God *uses* brokenness to magnify His glory (2 Corinthians 4:7). Revelation 21:3–4 promises He will one day replace every shattered piece with His unbroken presence. Yet even now, Luke 10:19 reminds us: the same God who lit Elijah’s oil fuels *your* flame.
You hold authority over the darkness. Your scars are not symbols of defeat—they prove that the Light still burns in you. *_Shout Alleluia!_*
Sorrow may whisper, *_“This is the end,”_* but God thunders, *_“This is where My power takes control.”_* Stand firm, warrior. The dawn is coming… and the oil never runs dry.

- *The Eternal Promise:*
God’s Final Answer to Sorrow (Revelation 21:3–4)
John’s vision in Revelation paints a breath-taking picture: *_“God Himself will be with them… He will wipe every tear from their eyes.”_*
Here, God dismantles sorrow at its roots. No more death, grief, or pain—not because suffering is deleted, but because God’s presence becomes our permanent reality.
Imagine a parent comforting a child after a nightmare. The fear is real, but the embrace is stronger. God doesn’t just end sorrow; He replaces it with Himself. This is the hope that anchors us: a day is coming when every broken thing will be made whole.
- *The Present Authority:*
Trampling Today’s Troubles (Luke 10:19)
But God doesn’t ask us to passively wait for that day. In Luke 10:19, Jesus declares, *_“I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy.”_* This is not a metaphor—it’s a mandate. The same power that raised Christ from the dead lives in us (Romans 8:11).
Sorrow thrives in helplessness, but Jesus hands us the keys to fight back:
- Prayer that moves mountains (Mark 11:23).
- Faith that declares, *_“This storm will not drown me.”_*
- Community that bears burdens together (Galatians 6:2).
You are not a victim. You are a warrior, armed with Heaven’s authority.
III. Living in the *_“Already and Not Yet”_*
Yes, we live in tension. We already have victory in Christ, but we have not yet seen all things restored. How do we navigate this?
- *Lament with hope:* Jesus wept at Lazarus’ tomb—even knowing He would raise him (John 11:35). It is okay to grieve, but never without the anthem of resurrection in your heart.
- *Resist the enemy’s lies:* When anxiety whispers, *_“This pain will never end,”_* declare, *_“My God is making all things new.”_* Say *_Alleluia!_*
- *Fix your gaze on eternity:* Like a runner focused on the finish line, let future glory fuel today’s perseverance.
Whatever you are facing, Settle your destination (or destiny) this way: *_From Sorrow to Glory!_*
A story is told of a man who found a note tucked in an old Bible. It read: *_“Between the ‘AMEN’ and the ‘THERE IT IS,’ God is working.”_*
God’s Beloved, hold fast. The God who promises *_“no more sorrows”_* is both coming and here.
You have authority today and a tomorrow where all your tears will be wiped away.
So rise up. *_Pray fiercely. Love and give boldly._* And when sorrows roar, remind the evil agents:
*_Your reign has ended. My God has spoken._*

*_Father, we cling to Your promise of life without sorrow. Until then, stir your power within us. Teach us to trample on fear; to diligently engage in those works that will move us forward; comfort and sacrificially offer a helping hand to others; and to live as resurrected people of Grace, in Jesus’ matchless Name, Amen._*
Now be assured that you may be insured: *_Today, the God of hope has filled you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him._* (Romans 15:13).
