Day 22 in Lenten Season – Very Rev. Prof. Konyin Àjàyí, SAN.
*March 26: Day 22 – Prayer for Renewal, Perseverance & Strong Faith*
On this fourth Wednesday in Lent, and as we end the first half of the Lenten season, I pray Eternal Father, the Ancient of Days, God of Elijah, who calls fire from heaven, God of the prophets, who speaks in whispers and thunders alike — ignite within me the faith that rends the veil between the seen and unseen; grant me the faith that moves mountains; that calls forth life from the barren; that dares to walk upon the waters of impossibility.
O Omnipotent and Omniscient God, let Your power manifest in me so that what the world deems impossible is made possible by the authority of Your Word. Grant me unwavering faith amid trials; strengthen my belief when doubt creeps in; remind me that You are always near; and let my trust in You be firm, unshaken by life’s uncertainties.
O Lord of Glory, grant me the faith of Moses, the one who beheld Your form and stood upon the holy ground – as I enter the second half of Lent – let me walk under the covering of Your presence, known by name in the courts of heaven.
Father, as You went before Moses in a pillar of fire, so go before me; as You hid him in the cleft of the rock and revealed Your goodness, so let Your glory manifest over me; and let me abide in the radiance of Your face, my spirit ever burning with the light of divine communion.
Father, by the grace of Your Son, lift me when I stumble; let not the shadows of doubt or despair consume me. When my strength wanes, infuse in me the fire of Your Spirit. When the winds of trial howl against me, root me more profoundly in the unshakable rock of faith. Let my soul be steadfast as that of the saints of old, who held fast to Your Name even in the lion’s den, the fiery furnace, and even the valley of death.
O Most High, whose throne is eternal, I cast myself into the abyss of Your mercy, trusting in Your boundless love. O Lord of Hosts lay hold of me and breathe into me the unwavering faith of Daniel, who stood unshaken before kings, whose prayers pierced the heavens, whose devotion was as unbreakable as the covenant of Your love.
Refine me, O Lord, in the fire of Your holiness. Let my faith rise like incense before Your throne, pure and pleasing in Your sight.
Strengthen, renew, and keep me in the mystery of Your presence until I stand before You in glory everlasting. Grant these prayers which I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ, the Eternal Word, I pray.

As we conclude this prayer journey today, remember that faith is not merely a feeling but a profound trust in the One who created the universe and knows each of us by name. Let your heart be anchored in God’s promises amid trials and uncertainties. The scriptures remind us that renewal comes through seeking God and waiting upon Him, while perseverance is strengthened through challenges. Trust in His power to sustain you, knowing that faith can move every mountain.
*_May you emerge from this Lenten season with a heart ablaze with faith, renewed in spirit and equipped to walk boldly in His presence. Keep your eyes fixed on Christ, and allow the trials you face to refine you, producing an eternal glory that far outweighs any momentary challenge within you._*
Continue to embrace this journey of faith, and may God’s steadfast love and grace carry you through each step.
