Lenten Season – Day 18 – Very Rev. Prof. Konyinsola Àjàyí, SAN.
*March 22: Day 18 -Prayer Against Challenges & Difficulties*
Eternal God, Jehovah Jireh, the Lord Who Provides, the Unfailing Source, the Keeper of time and seasons, the One whose storehouses never run empty, the God Who owns the cattle on a thousand hills, the One Who speaks and it is done, Who commands and it stands fast – I come before You, not in my own righteousness, not in my own strength, but through Christ Jesus in desperate need of Your mercy – Lord have mercy on me, save me from known and unknown difficulties and challenges!
O Lord, You lifted Joseph from the pit, saved him from imprisonment and enthroned him in the courts of kings; You took Esther from obscurity and placed a crown upon her head – I pray You this day to do for me as You did for these Saints; lift me from the pit, crown me with success, erase my debts and take me out of obscurity.
Most Merciful God, Who preserved the Shunammite woman from ruin and restored all that was hers – save me, O Lord, from the debts I owe You – not only in finance but in devotion, obedience, and honour to Your Name. Redeem me from the burden of sin, cleanse me from my shortcomings, and provide for me as only You can. You are the God who gives wealth without sorrow, makes streams flow in the desert, feeds the ravens and clothes the lilies – Father, feed me, clothe me and water my life.
Lord Almighty, You are the same God, unchanging, unshaken, unsearchable in wisdom, unfathomable in power, my trust is not in men, not in systems, not in my own toil, but in You alone – so Lord, make me unsearchable for all who seek harm for me. Lord God, You and only You, turn impossibility into testimony – make all things that seem impossible to me, possible and indeed actual for me; and let my life be a testimony of Your provision, that all may see and know that there is a God Who provides for His own. Father, I acknowledge my failure to be faithful in my tithes and offerings; I have not always returned to You what is Yours. But what can I give that is worthy of You? What does man have that was not first offered by Your hand? Only through Christ, our Mediator, can I meet my obligations before You. So, Lord, in Your mercy, remember me, restore what has been lacking in my faithfulness; crown my years with bounty; let my paths overflow with divine provision; open the gates of favour for me; let prosperity follow me, not as the world gives, but as You, O Lord, ordain.
Illuminate my path, O God of Light; shine Your truth upon the hidden snares of financial oppression and every chain that has made me a debtor — whether to You, Your Church, humanity, or any creditor. Lord, You are the Burden-Bearer, the Yoke-Destroyer, the Lifter of the humble – so I pray You, Lord, lead me out of this valley of debt, set my feet upon the rock of provision, deliver me from every cycle of lack, and plant me in the land of sufficiency.
Father, You have spoken, and I believe that *_“The young lions suffer want and hunger, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.”_* O Lord, I seek You! I surrender this burden at Your feet. Father, through Jesus Christ, my Redeemer, my Strong Deliverer, pull me out of every financial distress, known and unknown. O Lord, my Refiner, my Potter, my Hiding Place – shape me into a vessel of honour, one who stands unshaken by financial storms or life’s problems. My Father, my Shield, my Strong Tower, cancel my debts, wipe away every burden, break every chain in my life; and let it be, O Lord, that no debt remains in my life except the everlasting debt of love for others.
Jehovah El Shaddai, the All-Sufficient One, O Lord, Strong and Mighty, the God Who was, Who is, and Who is to come, meet all my needs according to the riches of Your glory in Christ Jesus. Turn any sorrow into dancing, my lack into abundance, and any struggle into a testimony of grace.
I ask, I believe, I receive all I have asked — in the Name of Jesus Christ, the Everlasting King, the Author and Finisher of my faith, the Amen. Amen and Amen.
*The Patriarch’s Note.*
*KEY BIBLE VERSES* that resonate profoundly with our *PRAYER AGAINST CHALLENGES & DIFFICULTIES*, with NKJV references:
- *Philippians 4:19*
*_“And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”_*
- *Psalm 34:10*
*_“The young lions lack and suffer hunger, But those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing.”_*
- *Isaiah 41:10*
*_“Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; Yes, I will help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”_*
- *2 Corinthians 9:8*
*_“And God can make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.”_*
- *Matthew 11:28-30*
*_“Come to Me, all you who labour and are heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.”_*
As you pray, remember that God is sovereign and intimately aware of your needs and challenges. He is the God who provides, and delights in pouring out His grace and favour upon those who seek Him.
In your pursuit of divine assistance, trust in His unfailing promises and remain anchored in faith. When the path seems uncertain and difficulties arise, hold on to the truth that every challenge you encounter is an opportunity for God to demonstrate His mighty power and provision in your life.
May your prayers be met with the assurance that you are not alone; the All-Sufficient One walks beside you. As you surrender your burdens, may you find strength and restoration, knowing that your testimony will glorify Him and draw others close to His heart.
*_I pray that the abundance of God’s blessings will overflow in your life, turning every trial into a triumph and igniting hope in your heart, in Jesus Christ’s Name._*
