💕 Nigerians do believe, 🦅🌹 Our GOOD NEWS!

Let us see God’s Word in JOSHUA 1:1‭-‬9 –

1. After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, it came to pass that the Lord spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ assistant, saying:

2. “Moses My servant is dead. Now therefore, arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them—the children of Israel.

3. Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses.

4. From the wilderness and this Lebanon as far as the great river, the River Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and to the Great Sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your territory.

5. No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you.

6. Be strong and of good courage, for to this people you shall divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them.

7. Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go.

8. This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

9. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:1‭-‬9 NKJV

🦅🌹 May the LORD increase your joy as you determine to please your maker, and not your flesh, in Jesus’ Name. Only then will your success be sure and everlasting… Joshua 1:1-9.🦅

🌹 The divine commission to Joshua – the successor of Moses – was to take the Israelites to THE PROMISED LAND. I guess the commission of God to the President and C-in-C. of Nigeria – and his new Administration – is to move Nigerians out of the present distress and helplessness, right?

🌹 Our THEME in God’s GOOD NEWS to you and I, is to… BE STRONG AND OF GOOD COURAGE!.*🦅

🌹 Our TEXT – today – is taken from… Joshua 1:8-9.*🦅

Joshua 1: 8-‬9 NKJV

EXHORTATION.

Can one person stand up in the face of fear, hardship, and peer pressure, and lead a people into a whole new way of life, if God has not strengthened him?

We are not the only ones to wrestle with such questions.

Is it exactly 30 years after the cabals truncated the will of the Nigerian Majority?
🌹 Happy Democracy Day, Nigeria_

Can President Tinubu who is not a perfect saint – succeed in the onerous job of moving Nigeria forward, when everyone else felt he was a misfit?

Let us hear God’s inspiration…

The people of God also had trouble, as reported by the Bible. And Moses, who was chosen to lead God’s people, was not the purest of men!

The Israelites had been wandering in the wild and harsh wilderness for years. They didn’t love that difficult place.

Just as it is in Africa today, the Israelites did not know where their next meal was going to come from, neither did they know where their basic needs will spring from…

400 years before the wilderness experience, God had promised Abraham that his descendants will possess the promised land… They had passed through captivity and economic enslavement until Moses led them thus far, and passed away… So, now standing between them and their renewed hope for the future was a wall of water that was about a mile wide, and so deep… the mighty Jordan River.

If that wasn’t bad enough, based upon previous scouting reports, the promised land ahead was full of mighty warriors and fortified cities. What would the children of Israel do? They were worried.

“God, help us! Deliver us!” the Israelites cried just as Nigerians are now crying.

In due time, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu became Nigeria’s leader, in spite of our mixture of acceptance and rejection. But if God reigns in the affairs of men, we should accept His decision! No man ascends to a throne without God’s consent!

In the Biblical story, however, on Israelites’ passage through the wilderness, the people began to grumble. God hates insatiable complainants!

With Moses now dead, Joshua had been chosen to fill his shoes. What will Joshua do? What will the people do? Do they even dare dream of better days and believe they can possess the land?

There is bound to be trouble in this World…

The Israelites are not the only ones to know hardship, near starvation, division, difficulty, and moving from place to place. Nigeria had such an experience. Worse still, we had a gory tale of succession of ungodly leaders who call the name of God!

God blessed us with stupendous wealth in agriculture, human and mineral resources with clement tropical weather. We are giants in the sun, envied by advanced nations – and rulers of those nations use their intellect to divide us against ourselves, while our corrupt leaders’ loots enrich Foreign Lands. We hated our brothers because of god-given resources that is abundant to share, after developing our land!

Nigeria, like many in her African family before her, made some poor choices in her post-independence nationhood and had surrounded herself with some evil predators and in-house cabals.

Due to bad governance by her leaders, the public treasury was continually ravaged and stakeholders in the federating regions screamed about marginalisation – when resources are shared without any care for federal character – thus preferring self-actualization and consequent ownership of their God-given resources. They wanted division!

Nigeria was thirsty in the pool of clean water, and hungry in the midst of abundance.

The good moral character and manners inherent in African upbringing was nearly washed away with the adoption of foreign orientation, corrupt lifestyles, and alien education.

Africans fear God, but our elites educated us to put God on the shelves, and physically strive to put our destinies in our hands as the demon of corruption – that we cannot subdue with physical might – took over the reins of our nation!

Things now fall apart. The center cannot hold, and mere anarchy was loosed upon our land… as the great literature guru, Chinua Achebe, summarised it. Godly people backside from governance to give way to “Demonised Politicians” who came: we believed in them, and they raped our nation and it’s treasury. Now we seek a saviour!

The good news is that there is Grace in the word of life.

Back at the edge of the Promised Land, face-to-face with a wall of water, a land of warriors, and powerful cities, what would Joshua do? Would he abandon the wilderness of his past and embrace the renewed hope of a better future? Or, would he give in to the negativity and rebellion of those around him?
Just then, as Joshua was wrestling with all of these fears, emotions, and insecurities, the LORD spoke to him, “Proceed to cross the Jordan, you and all these people, into the land that I am giving to you … No one shall be able to stand against you … As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will neither fail you nor forsake you. Be strong and courageous”. (Joshua 1:2, 5-6a).

The LORD is calling on all Nigerians to BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS to persevere through whatever will come our way in this regime that God has presented before us. We must forget our differences and support our new administration. If our President would obey God and remove the ancient marks of corruption, myopic tendencies of religious bigotry, fascism, tribalism, and other evils that divides our land, he would be successful and God would be with Him, “wherever he goes.”

According to the Scripture, in spite of all the challenges ahead, and fears, and doubts, Joshua chose to trust God and his promises and so they took a step into the water. When they entered the mighty Jordan River, which was at flood stage, it never rose above the knees of those who carried the ark of God’s covenant, it parted and they crossed over on dry ground. As they took a step of faith and trusted God, the Lord provided them with one miracle after another and they took possession of the land.

Nigeria must believe in God and join the President to take these steps of faith!

Nigeria will pass through hard times, but it will never be worse than what we had overcome before!

The Good News assure us that GOD’S GRACE is enough for Nigerians.

Today we are facing huge obstacles, doubts, and fears, stuck in the mud and the mire, what would Nigerians do?

President Bola Tinubu has been following God’s scripts, though his opponents loudly assume that he had been a partner of the cabal that are sifting the nation, and all other lies and allegations. God has begun to prove His word to use the vessles that we had condemned as foolish, to shame the wise. His opponents – who are bitter in defeat – remained in court to challenge a victory that seems so clear. Simple Nigerians are daily being brainwashed to act as tools to condemn what God has allowed.

But God has started His work in the revamping of Nigeria’s economy and sanity.

We must join hands to extinguish the darkness, and hoodoo. We must put our faith in God and embrace our heavenly maker again!

People in religions must open their Holy Books and seek for peace, studying God’s Word and Praying with pure minds.

The Word of God must start to fill our hearts and be always on our lips. For it takes Christ’s power to set the people free.

In time, and by the grace of God, the ways of Nigerians shall please the LORD, and our evil adversaries shall be converted to be at peace with us!

We shall soon echo the word of God, which declares, “I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand” (Psalm 40:1-2).

It is time to have faith in the move of God over Nigeria… We shall soon sing for joy!

Beloved of God,
Be strong and courageous! We all need courage to face the future.

But to be clear, courage is not that negative activism that leads you to destroy your heritage while the sponsoring politicians’ nuclear families enjoy life abroad.

Courage is facing life’s challenges with the help and direction of God.

Courage is not to tell those who worship God to forget God until they have made money or built industries… That is spiritual rebellion. But courage is being resolute in the face of great trials.

Courage is to stand up in the face of fear, hardship, and peer pressure, and lead others into whole new way of life! What God said to Joshua, he’s saying to us, “You’re not alone, every step of your life, I’ll be there. I’ve not forgotten you. I am with you. You need only to be strong and courageous. Follow me, keep my word, and I will bless you wherever you go.”

Courage is being hardworking (not lazily doing the right thing at the wrong time; but being), strong and steadfast in the incorruptible ways of God, even if you’re the only one!

By the grace of God, you can make a difference!

Let us Pray: 🌹

🦅 May the one whose love is kind, peaceful, patient and abounding give your life an amazing fresh air and unquenchable joy of freedom, in Jesus’ Name!

🦅 God’s promises are fulfillable: May the cries of all good Nigerians – beyond religious divide – cause this regime to favour us all, O God, end the strives and unite us to make genuine progress, in Jesus’ Name!

🦅 Righteousness exalts a Nation… Almighty God of Life, Let corruption – the destroyer of grace – be exposed and annihilated in our Government, Business, Family, and the individual lives of our nation. Come and reign in our affairs, O God, in Jesus’ Name!

AMEN.

Good Evening, Beloved. Enjoy the best blessing that will make THIS NEW WEEK so fruitful for you and yours!

HAPPY DEMOCRACY DAY!
