CHRIST’S GOOD NEWS MISSION.
THEME: πππππππππ ππππππππ !
π¦ Our *GOOD NEWS this afternoon, is inspired from our closing affirmation from last Wednesday’s Session, 1 Samuel 30:18-20.
β€βπ₯ Today’s PASSAGE:
1 Samuel 30:1-8
π 1. _Now it happened, when David and his men came to Ziklag, on the third day, that the Amalekites had invaded the South and Ziklag, attacked Ziklag and burned it with fire, _
π 2. and had taken captive the women and those who were there, from small to great; they did not kill anyone, but carried them away and went their way.
π 3. So David and his men came to the city, and there it was, burned with fire; and their wives, their sons, and their daughters had been taken captive.
π 4. Then David and the people who were with him lifted their voices and wept until they had no more power to weep.
π 5. And Davidβs two wives, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, and Abigail the widow of Nabal the Carmelite had been taken captive.
π 6. Now David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and his daughters.
But David strengthened himself in the LORD his God.
π 7. Then David said to Abiathar the priest, Ahimelechβs son, βPlease bring the ephod here to me.β And Abiathar brought the ephod to David.
π 8. So David inquired of the Lord, saying, βShall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them?β And He answered him, βPursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all. β
I Samuel 30:1β-β¬8 NKJV.

THE WORD OF DELIVERANCE!:
The Church of God is united in Christ, and not divided by denominational spread.
Dr D. K. Olukoya is our Guest Preacher today.
The Hymn NO, NOT ONE was written in 1895. Johnson Oatman, Jr. (1856-1922) was born to a devout Christian family in New Jersey, and attended church regularly. He was so inspired by his father (who had the same name) that he wanted to walk in his footsteps and grow up to be the man his father was. His father had a great booming voice and was in much demand as a gospel singer; maybe this is why Johnson so loved church music at such an early age.
He would grow up to work with his father in the family business, but was unsatisfied. He wanted to pursue a ministry career of some kind, but found little time for his religious ambitions. He was eventually ordained as a Methodist minister, but he struggled to find a church to pastor. Evidently, he wasnβt considered a very good preacher.
Friends, I bring Jesus’ word of comfort to you…
John 14:16 – “And I will pray for the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever.”
Before the crucifixion and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, He revealed certain times to His disciples including the times of persecution. But He made them a promise that He would not leave them comfortless. What was Jesus trying to tell them? He was telling them that difficult times would arise and their only hope would be the Holy Spirit, the Comforter. He knew they might be discouraged and even lose their faith.
The cost of living is increasing at an alarming rate while income is decreasing. The crime rate is very high. Sudden deaths are all over the place due to suicide, depression, frustration, hardship, banditry, sicknesses, etc. Kidnappers and ritual killers are instilling fear in the hearts of people. There is no assurance of security, the youths are becoming directionless with their evil desire for quick money, and the condition of living is getting worse by the day. Sexual perversion, drugs and alcoholism, etc. are on the rise. Many parents can no longer afford school fees, three square meals for their families, good clothing and accommodation. It is a sorry state. But Jesus said that all these things will begin to happen in the end times but we should be encouraged and endure to the end. A songwriter says, “Jesus knows all about our struggles, He will guide us till the day is done. There’s not a friend like the lowly Jesus, no not one, no not one.”
In our Bible Passage, King David came back from war only to discover that his enemies had invaded his territory and abducted their wives, children and cattle. He did not know what to do, but the Bible says that he had a smart recovery: He encouraged himself in the Lord.
God has sent the Holy Spirit to comfort the believer and give him strength through every challenge. Jesus promised that He wilwouldver leave us nor forsake us. Let us trust Him and remember His word in John 14:1, “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.” Do not be discouraged over issues that only our heavenly Father can solve. The Lord shall visit you at your point of need and take away every sorrow in your heart, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
Receive the power of smart recovery today. Encourage yourself, and let us enter his presence where our help abounds!
π¦ LET US PRAY:
π₯ 1. O God, arise and wipe away my tears, in the Name of Jesus.
π₯ 2. Every problem that has vowed to escort me to the grave: die, in the Name of Jesus.
π₯ 3. Holy Spirit, take away my helpers’ sorrows, in the Name of Jesus.
π₯ 4. Every affliction in my life, marriage, nation, and ministry that has caged my laughter, I command you to die to the root, in the Name of Jesus.
π₯ 5. Every situation that mocks my faith, rereceivesngelic attention now, in the Name of Jesus.
π₯ 6. O Lord, open the heaven of peace and rest unto me, in the Name of Jesus.
π₯ 7. My problems shall not see my end, I shall see the end of my problems, in the Name of Jesus Christ.
AMEN.

Iβve been browsing online more than 2 hours today, yet I
never found any interesting article like yours. It is pretty worth
enough for me. Personally, if all website owners and bloggers made good content as you
did, the internet will be a lot more useful than ever before.
